Price to quality is OK. The scraper is weak. The fire starter in the set works well for lighting a fire without time pressure, but when you need to quickly light a fire, the scraper is poor. Only striking with a knife guarantees strong sparks. I give 5* because the price matches the quality.
Badger Outdoor Multifire Flint
Fire steel featuring a straightforward design and extended durability, capable of delivering several thousand strikes. Essential during camping trips, survival missions, and emergency scenarios. Facilitates easy ignition of campfires, assists in lighting gas or camping stoves—a dependable heat source and a practical solution for preparing food in the outdoors.
Ferrocerium - a reliable fire source
Fire steel features a robust ferrocerium rod (crafted from a specialized metal alloy), measuring 60 mm in length and 8 mm in diameter, providing durability and user-friendly operation. One firm stroke using the supplied spark striker produces a concentrated shower of sparks, easily igniting a prepared fire starter—the rod's cerium content oxidizes and ignites spontaneously.
The rod emits sparks reaching temperatures up to 3,000 degrees C, making reliable fire starting possible even in heavy rain or sub-zero temperatures.
ISKROWER WITH LINEAR, OPENER and compass
Included in the kit is a metal tin-shaped spark igniter featuring a serrated edge for reliable spark generation. The fire steel also integrates a bottle opener, a ruler on the spark igniter, and a practical compass for added functionality.
Easy Use, Convenient Transportation
Fire steel is compact and highly practical thanks to the design that allows the rod to be stored inside the case. With the rod secured inside, it remains protected from damage, wear, and dirt. Fire steel offers reliable handling, whether used with gloves or with bare hands.
A ball chain suspension enables easy carrying, whether worn around the neck or attached to gear.

A good firestarter, it gives off plenty of sparks and, with properly prepared tinder, there is no problem lighting a campfire, not to mention lighting a gas stove. The advantage of the screw-cap container is that the firestarter does not get dirty after being stored.
-
The fire starter is okay, but honestly, it disappointed me a bit. There aren’t many sparks and you have to work really hard to light anything. I had a chance to compare it during a class with a large Wildo brand fire starter and the difference was huge. The Badger is all right as a backup in your backpack—hopefully you won’t need to use it—but for regular fire making I definitely recommend spending a bit more on Wildo—the sparks just fly on their own.
-
A very sturdy fire starter that produces a powerful shower of sparks with the first strike. The thick rod will last a very long time, and the additional features, like the built-in compass and the ruler on the metal piece, are great complements to a survival kit. It's hard to find anything better at this price.
-
The fire starter is very nice and practical. Thanks to the closure, it is resistant to getting wet. The compass works, but I use a classic one; this is more of an interesting addition.
-
In the pictures, it looks smaller than it actually is, but it's still handy. So far, it works flawlessly. I don't use the compass, but at first glance, everything seems fine.
-
The fire starter works well, of course once you master the art of lighting it ;) Along with the packaging, it can even serve as a kubotan. It’s better to keep it away from moisture because the metal corrodes. However, I do recommend the fire starter itself.
-
I can't give it five stars because the chain was broken. Unless it's supposed to be that way? I don't know if its length is sufficient either. The rest is flawless.
-
Nice fire starter. You can easily light a fire with it. Good value for money. In the pictures, it looks smaller than it really is. Don't expect much from the compass – it's just there, but the fire starter itself I can honestly recommend.
-
The fire starter gives nice sparks, the compass works well, everything is fine except the chain for the strip could be a bit longer, and you have to keep in mind that the housing makes it quite heavy, but on the other hand, it's safe and holds well.
-
Very nice fire starter. I can honestly recommend it to anyone considering buying it. The little compass is a nice touch. Not only is it functional, it also looks great.
-
I probably don't know how to use it properly because I couldn't get sparks, but after reading the comments, it's true the striker is poor, so that's the only downside. But you always have a knife handy when camping so it's not a problem. The chain is a good idea and the fact you can hide the fire starter is a cool feature that made me buy the product.
-
Nicely made fire starter. The metal casing protects it from accidental use. The compass is more of a gadget, but you never know when it might come in handy. The chain is rather thin and could probably be replaced with something more durable. But overall, it works well as survival or camping gear.
-
Well-made fire starter. Thanks to the thick rod, you can use it for a really long time before it runs out, and the bottle opener, ruler on the striker, and practical compass are nice extras.
-
A fire starter is something everyone should have at least one of. It's always reliable, unlike lighters or matches. And it costs very little.
