I join the opinions of my predecessors. This is a sleeping bag for short-term survival, or longer but less comfortable. Nevertheless, you have to consider the pros and cons. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. I recommend it.
Badger Outdoor Ultralight Bivy Bag NRC Thermal Sleeping Bag
A thermal sleeping bag is a crucial accessory for survival kits and first aid supplies. Designed to protect against hypothermia, it significantly reduces heat loss by reflecting up to 90% of the body's heat energy. The bag insulates against the cold ground and offers protection from harsh weather, including wind and rain.
Durable material, double-sided metallized layer
Constructed from lightweight, yet robust and waterproof polypropylene foil, the sleeping bag features a double-sided metallized finish in both silver and orange. The foil provides superior heat reflection and, due to its highly reflective color, facilitates the quick location of a casualty.
Compact dimensions and low weight
In its deployed state, the sleeping bag measures 90 x 220 cm, delivering ample coverage to shield an adult user and their gear. Once packed down, it becomes compact enough to slip into a backpack or jacket pocket. The minimal weight ensures the load remains light and manageable.
Kit components
Contained within the kit are a drawstring transport bag and a whistle.

Sample applications and activities
Survival and bushcraft: Serves as an effective means to construct an improvised shelter, offering reliable protection against wind, rain, and low temperatures. The reflective surface functions exceptionally well for SOS signaling, reflecting light to maximize visibility and improve the likelihood of detection by rescuers or individuals nearby.
Trekking and mountain hiking: Shields users from hypothermia during frigid nights in a tent, while offering crucial insulation against cold and moisture when pausing along the trail. The lightweight build and straightforward deployment render it a valuable part of any outdoor equipment set.
Rescue and law enforcement: Proves indispensable in emergency scenarios, ensuring the injured are protected from hypothermia while help is en route. A reflective exterior assists in swiftly pinpointing the person in need, especially in difficult terrain or when visibility is limited.

I added the thermal sleeping bag to my bug out bag because it provides extra warmth for the sleeping bag, takes up little space, and the price is not high. An extra plus is the emergency whistle included in the set.
-
The first impression is positive: the sleeping bag is tiny, packed in a clever drawstring pouch, very lightweight and takes up almost no space in the backpack. An additional plus is the included emergency whistle. I think that combined with the emergency tent, it will be possible to survive the night in tough conditions.

The thermal sleeping bag is an extremely useful item, especially for people who value safety during trips in difficult conditions. My purchase turned out to be a hit! Made of heat-reflective material, it effectively protects against hypothermia, which is crucial in emergency situations. It is light and compact – it easily fits in a backpack, making it an ideal addition to a survival kit. It worked great during an overnight stay in cold conditions, creating an extra insulating layer. Nevertheless, remember that it is more of an emergency solution than a replacement for a classic sleeping bag. The material is durable but slightly rustling, which may bother more sensitive people. Overall, for a small price you get a product that can save your health or even your life. Definitely recommended for anyone planning outdoor adventures or who wants to be prepared for any eventuality.

The NRC Badger Outdoor Ultralight Bivy Bag thermal sleeping bag is good protection, for example, if you have to sleep in tough conditions. I tested it by sleeping in it in a drafty conference room during a trip and it insulated me very well from the draughts. I recommend it.

Really cool, compact emergency item. Doesn’t take up much space, it’s light, in my opinion perfect for a BOB or for tough expeditions where anything can happen.
-
This "sleeping bag" or maybe NRC foil bivvy blanket is really tiny when packed. Fits in one hand. Once unfolded, one person can easily fit inside, even with a sleeping bag, so you would have a minimalist "tent" to sleep under the open sky or somewhere in a cave or forest. I recommend it.
-
Small product. Very compact. And yet very effective and necessary. I intended to use it for sleeping in a snow cave but haven’t had the chance yet. The product tested in other conditions met my expectations.
-
The product comes in a small pouch. After unfolding, you can push it back into it. But you have to do it skillfully to remove all the air. The product is airtight. The black tape sealing could have been done more precisely. However, the product is full value. Of course, the solution has its drawbacks. However, this is something intended only for emergency situations. Using it daily or as an outer warmer for a sleeping bag is a huge exaggeration.

It is worth having on hiking trips or when traveling as a backup, it doesn't take up much space and doesn't weigh much, for sure it will come in handy in case of emergency.
-
The sleeping bag works well as a bivy bag, light and easy to carry.
-
Truly essential for the car or camping.
-
Good quality. Neatly packaged. Essential in every backpack, especially in winter.
-
I carry it as a placebo, but as a bivy I recommend it. Watch the dew point and you'll manage.
-
Worth keeping in the car.
