Good build quality, waterproof, nice display and nice appearance. Quite large. Not very handy, slightly too thick, a bit heavy. But overall parameters are ok.

Baofeng UV-17E 5W Radio - Green
Baofeng UV-17E 5W offers a robust handheld radio solution, delivering up to 5 watts of output power. Outfitted with a DTMF keypad, a dual LCD screen, built-in flashlight, and integrated FM radio, the unit is powered by a 7.4 V lithium-ion battery with a generous 1800 mAh capacity. Convenient USB-C charging capability is included for field reliability.
Ability to listen to two channels, Kenwood K1 connector
A key feature of the radio is Dual Watch, enabling simultaneous reception on two channels. This function allows users to monitor two separate frequencies, prioritizing whichever frequency receives an incoming transmission. Equipped with a Kenwood K1 type connector, the radio is compatible with headsets featuring a microphone (included), dedicated speakers, or shooting hearing protectors, making it suitable for connection with the Baofeng device.
99 channels, range up to 10 km, IP54 protection standard
Equipped with 99 channels, uninterrupted communication is guaranteed, preventing interference from other radio operators. In optimal conditions and open environments, the transmission range extends up to 10 km. An automatic squelch function and transmission end tone further optimize communication clarity. Conforming to the IP54 standard, the device delivers comprehensive protection against dust penetration and safeguards against splashes and light rainfall from any direction.
programmable capability, VOX function
Radio programming is possible directly from the keyboard or with the use of a computer via a USB cable. The software also offers multiple features to streamline grouping and identification processes. Thanks to the VOX function, users can initiate transmission using voice commands, eliminating the need to press the PTT button.

The Baofeng brand has been well-known and reliable to me for years. According to some reviews, this model is supposedly large, and indeed, it is much bigger than the UV 5R model, but the shape of the radio is quite comfortable to hold. For me, a big plus is the ability to charge the battery via a USB type C port. The flashlight isn't anything special, but it's there and works well enough.

Baofeng is well made, the flashlight is quite bright, lots of menu options, the clip holds well, the display is nice. Nothing to add or take away, it's a cool device and I definitely recommend it. The only small downside is that it's a bit bulky, but other than that, it's good.

For build quality, water resistance, USB-C charging, nice display, and generally cool design. On the downside, the dimensions. Not very handy, a bit too thick.
