Berghaus Tactical Pugio Backpack 42 l - Coyote Tan
A tactical backpack with a capacity of 42 l in Coyote Tan color, which is the largest model in the Pugio series designed for carrying more gear while maintaining high ergonomics and modularity. The structure is based on reinforced walls and an internal frame, giving it a distinctive box-shaped form that allows the backpack to open fully when the zipper is unfastened. This design greatly simplifies organizing equipment and provides quick access to the contents in operational and outdoor conditions. The pack is made from durable 500D polyamide with a double Rip-Stop weave and is equipped with an RFID layer placed between the outer fabric and the lining, increasing security during travel or activities in urban environments. The Pugio 42 model stands out with its detachable hip belt, which can be stowed in a special compartment in the lower part of the rear panel, as well as its side compression straps.
damage-resistant 500D polyamide, double Rip-Stop weave
The backpack is sewn from 500D polyamide double Rip-Stop, which is highly resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage. The use of double Rip-Stop weave strengthens the fabric's structure, minimizing the risk of ripping even during intensive use in challenging terrain. In addition, the material used for the backpack is lightweight as well as moisture- and dirt-resistant.
modular cargo space, full opening of the main compartment
The main compartment of the backpack is secured with a zipper that allows it to open wide, ensuring convenient access to the contents. The interior is lined with Velcro panels, enabling modular organisation of your gear and mounting of compatible pouches and accessories. The boxy shape of the compartment prevents the fabric from collapsing and makes managing equipment easier. Inside the main compartment, there is a small zipped pocket. An additional security feature is the RFID layer placed between the outer fabric and the lining (excluding the front pocket). This technology limits the possibility of unauthorised reading of contactless card data. The backpack features a front zip pocket with an organiser, providing a separate storage space for small items. The Pugio 42 model also has two large side zippered pockets and an elastic phone pocket on the shoulder strap for quick access to your device. Inside the main compartment, a carabiner is attached for mounting a water tank. At the bottom of the rear panel, there is a dedicated compartment for carrying the detachable hip belt.
elastic shock cord, front velcro panel, compression straps
The front part of the backpack features elastic shock cords threaded through fabric loops to secure lightweight loads carried on the outside. A front Velcro panel lets you attach any emblems or patches. Side compression straps allow you to reduce the backpack’s volume by stabilizing and pressing the load towards the core, which minimizes content shifting during use. The strap adjustment lets you tailor the level of compression to the fill and also utilize the straps to attach extra gear to the outside of the backpack.
nylon frame, adjustable shoulder straps and carry handle, detachable hip belt
The backpack’s carry system is built with ergonomic, adjustable shoulder straps that enable you to set the length to suit your body and evenly distribute the load. The strap design ensures stability and comfort, restricting backpack movement during activity. The padded back panel has a central ventilation channel to increase cushioning and make wearing the pack more comfortable during extended use. An integral part of the design is the internal nylon frame, which stiffens the backpack and helps it retain its box shape. The frame stabilizes the load regardless of how full the pack is, and supports carrying greater weight.
Additional stability comes from reinforced, stiffened backpack walls and a chest strap with a composite buckle, featuring height adjustment. At the top of the pack, there is a carry handle. The wide hip belt is removable and partly padded with soft material to enable efficient load transfer from the shoulders to the hips and improve stability of the carrying system. The Bergbuckle-type buckle ensures the belt fastens firmly and quietly.
