Despite its small size on paper, the Mini Dundee itself gives the impression of being larger. I don't know how it works, but only when you place it next to other similar models like the Kirez Aegis, you can see it's in the same class. The craftsmanship is perfect. The double DD lock requires more attention while working. You need to remember its construction, especially if you are used to "hard" lock knives. Advantage - it opens and closes in a split second - with a single movement. I showed it to my wife, and she said it's the first knife she actually likes. The light blue color combined with gray, not black, coating looks very good. It's something different from the black G10, gray or green micarta, of which I have most. The knife is elegant, sophisticated, eye-catching, but be careful - it's definitely not a "soft" or feminine knife. Proportions, handle and blade lines - everything matches perfectly. Good ergonomics, mechanics, light, delicate G10 texture, the jimping on the blade is probably the best I've experienced. The clip is slim, flowing onto the handle, beautifully designed. The gray coating looks like titanium. Honestly, I did not expect the design to be so refined. You can't see this in the pictures; only when you put it next to other models do you feel the class of the Polish designer. In the pictures, it looks like an ordinary, simple, classic knife, even to excess. In reality - a perfect design. Even when folded, the blade's front sits flush with the handle. It's just a detail, but this model is made up of such details. I recommend it, and if someone hasn't tried the DD lock, it's worth checking out. It works quite well. The only downside - centering. Acceptable, but not perfect.
Bestechman Mini Dundee Double Detent Folding Knife - Light Blue/Black
Engineered for everyday carry, this lightweight, compact folding knife features a Drop-Point blade crafted from high-carbon D2 tool steel. Created by renowned Polish knifemaker Ostap Hel, this EDC knife delivers a perfect blend of durability and precision.
D2 tool steel, flat grind, PVD coating
Featuring a Drop Point blade crafted from D2 high-carbon tool steel, this model delivers outstanding edge retention. The blade utilizes a flat grind and is enhanced with a black PVD finish, providing superior scratch resistance. The coating also offers increased protection against corrosion and minimizes light reflections.
Additionally, the Mini Dundee model incorporates a strategically placed notch on the blade's spine (jimping), ensuring a secure grip and effectively preventing fingers from slipping during use.
non-slip handle
Featuring a rugged blue handle crafted from high-quality G10 composite, the design boasts a non-slip surface and an ergonomic finger groove that deliver a reliable grip, regardless of muddy or wet conditions.
Safe use
Opening the knife is exceptionally smooth and comfortable thanks to the use of ceramic ball bearings and a flipper, which, when deployed, also functions as a compact bolster. A clip mounted on both the right and left sides of the handle enables secure attachment of the knife to a belt, pocket edge, or other gear.
