The matte, fibrous surface of the tape provides excellent coverage and conceals the wrapped components, effectively eliminating light reflections and minimizing noise created by metal objects coming into contact. Featuring a self-adhesive backing, the tape does not require any additional adhesives or means of fastening. Camouflage applied with the tape disrupts and alters the outline of the concealed item. Woodland, referred to as U.S. Woodland or M81, stands as an iconic camouflage pattern first adopted by the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, drawing inspiration from the prior ERDL design. Serving as the standard camouflage for the US military for over twenty years, its use extended until the late 2000s. Distinguished by its bold, asymmetrical shapes in hues of green, brown, beige, and black, the pattern offers excellent concealment and disruption capabilities, particularly within forested terrains. Due to its proven performance and broad recognition, many adaptations have been developed, now present in over 60 military uniforms worldwide. Influence from this pattern has greatly impacted popular culture, moving beyond its military roots into mainstream apparel.
