The knife looks nice, but mechanically it is a tragedy. It opens without problems, but when closing, the blade does not lock into the closed position, so you have to manually lock it in the open position and hope that this time it will close properly.
Boker Plus OTF Lhotak Dagger 2.0 D2 Spring knife
Boker Plus automatic knife, OTF (Out The Front) design, featuring a blade that deploys forward when the loaded spring is activated. Engineered by Raimund Lhotak, a renowned knifemaker from Austria.
NOTE – Contrary to many “urban legends,” spring-assisted knives are fully legal to purchase, possess, and carry in Poland. Polish legislation does not impose any restrictions regarding the mechanism used to open knives, nor does it regulate the blade’s shape or length. Please note that other countries may have rules limiting or prohibiting certain types of knives—if planning to travel abroad with a knife, always review local laws in advance.
D2 tool steel
Featuring a dagger-shaped blade crafted from high-carbon D2 tool steel and hardened to 58-59 HRC, this model stands out for its exceptional abrasion resistance and respectable corrosion resistance. Blade deployment is managed by a serrated slider integrated into the handle—sliding it downward cocks the internal spring and retracts the blade.
Aluminum handle and clip
Constructed from aluminum with a titanium-based coating, the handle offers both a lightweight feel and excellent resistance to corrosion. Featuring a spring-loaded steel clip, the knife is designed for convenient everyday pocket carry.

- Equipped with a spring-loaded OTF mechanism
- Features a D2 steel blade with a dagger profile

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Boker.
Boker is a German knife brand with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo - "Tree Brand." As early as 1830, the company was producing as many as 2,000 sabers per week, which reached European battlefields. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the USA, Canada, and Mexico, creating recognizable branches. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handmade collector's and utility knives, also using steel recovered from historical objects, such as the battleship Tirpitz. The brand offers four lines: Boker Manufaktur Solingen, Boker Plus, Magnum, and Arbolito. Boker products are valued by collectors, uniformed services, and chefs around the world.

The workmanship is quite good for the price, and the zipper has some resistance, so it won't open easily in your pocket (although I wouldn't mind a lock). However, the quality of the casing is just the tip of the iceberg; after all, the blade plays the main part here, and I have very mixed feelings about it. Out of the box, it's maybe not very dull but on the verge of dullness. On the one hand, it's nice that we have a different steel that's supposedly more resistant to dulling, but sharpening this knife is a whole different story. I visited two places where they sharpen knives (they sharpen kitchen and regular knives so well that you could shave, so they know their stuff). In the end, the knife lost a bit of its original width and is sharper, but it's still not what I would expect. Leatherman multitool knives (Arc, Wingman) came factory-sharpened at levels hundreds of times better than this one, and even after sharpening this knife, it still loses to those multitool knives (which haven't been sharpened since purchase) on every level... If a slow-turning stone sharpener has trouble sharpening this strange steel, it's hard to imagine what would happen if you needed to touch up the blade in the field, etc... So, to sum up - it looks nice, has a cool opening mechanism (but no safety lock), and the blade is made of steel that's almost impossible to sharpen. It looks good on the shelf, but its utility in the field is almost nonexistent...

The OTF is solid, although it has some minor flaws – the blade isn’t the sharpest out of the box, and the handle is probably painted rather than anodized, so it could start looking shabby. Mechanically, though – it’s a dream!

Very good OTF for little money, above average workmanship. It fits comfortably in the hand, the switch has the right amount of resistance so there's no way to accidentally deploy the blade, plus the knife has a safety system so it won't open by itself, e.g. in your pocket. I highly recommend it.

One of the cheaper OTF knives, but I’m still satisfied with it. It fits comfortably in the hand, and the mechanism works perfectly. The handle could be of slightly better quality, but at this price it’s nothing to complain about.

The knife is quite well made, with a handle crafted from durable aluminum. It doesn’t jam and operates smoothly. I had to sharpen it right away because it was a bit dull. The only downside is the lack of a warranty, since these types of knives tend to break often. For this price, it’s definitely worth it.

I confirm what others have said: the knife is completely dull. It's embarrassing, because another Boker automatic I bought was razor sharp. Even so, I still managed to cut myself because the blade is double-edged and you need to be careful. There is some longitudinal and lateral blade play, but for now it’s acceptable. The housing is just okay, but the clip is fine – not too hard, not too soft. The mechanism works correctly for now. But sharpening the blade, which is made of quite hard D2 steel, could be a problem. For 400 zlotys, in my opinion, it’s not worth it. The current price, minus any possible KSK points, makes it somewhat better for the knife. Only, why does Militaria.pl make you wait two days for shipping? That’s not like them.

The knife needs sharpening at the very beginning. I’ve had it for a long time and use it from time to time. I recommend it for light everyday tasks so as not to wear out the knife.

One of the cheaper, but still branded and solid, OTF knives. Bought for the collection, but surprisingly good. It’s true, it’s not sharp, but that’s not a problem. Just remember to open it with dry hands, otherwise the mechanism is hard to operate.
