Woodland, commonly referred to as U.S. Woodland or M81, is an iconic camouflage design adopted by the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, derived from the earlier ERDL pattern. Serving as the primary camouflage for the US military for over twenty years, it remained in standard issue until the end of the first decade of the 2000s. Distinguished by its large, uneven patches in green, brown, tan, and black hues, the pattern offers excellent concealment and disruptive capabilities, particularly effective in forested environments.
