- T-comfort: +7 deg. C – denotes the lowest temperature at which a woman can rest comfortably throughout the night.
- T-limit: +3 deg. C – indicates the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without experiencing discomfort.
- T-extreme: -12 deg. C – reflects the lowest temperature at which survival in the sleeping bag is possible; this is not recommended for routine use.
