Carinthia HIG 5.0 jacket - Olive
Insulated jacket in olive colour, intended for use in low temperatures reaching down to -20 degrees Celsius and during changing weather conditions. It was developed as an insulating layer providing high thermal protection.
The model combines G-Loft synthetic insulation, the Carinthia SOF 2L windproof outer material, an adjustable hood, and a practical pocket system. Ventilation zippers under the arms allow excess heat to be released quickly during marching or work requiring greater effort.
Carinthia SOF 2L outer material
The outer layer is made of Carinthia SOF 2L based on polyamide. The material is lightweight, wind-resistant and hydrophobic, which limits the penetration of cold air and the absorption of light moisture. The jacket lining is made of 100% polyamide.
The fabric was developed for use in demanding environments and is characterised by high wind resistance and a hydrophobic finish. The hydrophobic outer layer limits moisture absorption during short-term contact with light rain or a wet environment.
G-Loft insulation - warmth and comfort
Warmth retention is ensured by G-Loft synthetic insulation made of 100% polyester. Depending on the jacket zone, 2 grammage levels (ISO Mapping) were used:
- body: 145 g/m
- sleeves: 110 g/m
A greater amount of fill in the torso area protects the most important parts of the body against cooling. A lighter layer in the sleeves reduces their bulk and makes arm movement easier, also when working with equipment.
G-Loft fibres trap warmed air inside the insulating layer, helping to maintain thermal comfort. The inside of the jacket features a quilted chamber layout. The stitching keeps the insulation in the intended position and helps maintain even fill distribution.
practical pocket system
On the front of the jacket there are 2 vertical pockets fastened with zippers. Their placement ensures easy access to stored items, also when wearing a backpack.
There are 3 pockets on the sleeves, fastened with zippers. The inside of the jacket is fitted with pockets (2 mesh and 1 zippered) intended for storing essential small items.
two-way zipper, hood, ventilation zippers
The jacket is fastened with a two-way zipper. The model is equipped with an integrated hood hidden in the high collar. The high stand-up collar protects the neck and nape from cold air.
On the sides of the jacket, in the underarm area, there are long ventilation zippers. The openings run along the side panels and allow a quick increase in airflow inside the jacket without having to unzip the main zipper.
adjustable cuffs and bottom hem
Cuffs adjustable with velcro fastenings allow the sleeve circumference to be adjusted to the wrists and gloves. The lower part of the jacket is equipped with an adjustment system allowing its circumference to be fitted to the silhouette.
