A meticulously reproduced and fully operational replica of the Hungarian saber, also referred to in the Commonwealth regions as "batorówka." Highly esteemed for both cavalry charges and infantry engagements, this blade ranks among the most prized weapons of its era. Sabers of this design emerged as formidable cutting arms and served as the natural evolution of the traditional sword. Peak popularity came during the 17th century. A remarkable blend of an impressive collector’s piece and a razor-sharp saber.

The single-edged blade, measuring 787 mm, is crafted from high-strength, impact-resistant 1055 carbon steel. The prominent deep curve is engineered to develop both force and accuracy during cutting drills.

The grip features a black leather wrap and is affixed to a steel tang that runs the full length of the blade. A cross guard placed between the blade and the grip aligns with the sheath’s collar, ensuring the hand is protected from slipping onto the blade. In combat, the guard additionally shields the wielder from opposing blades. The handle terminates in a steel pommel, which acts as a counterbalance and enhances the saber’s overall equilibrium.

Leather wraps and reinforced steel fittings protect the sheath, offering secure points to attach carrying straps. Attention to detail can be found in the floral motifs etched on the guard and the decorative engraving along the blade.

I made a purchase. After getting acquainted with the product, I also conclude that the fuller is absolutely essential for the beauty of the sabre and not only that. Moreover, this excessive flexibility of the blade does not inspire confidence. Everything else can be considered good. I was most pleasantly surprised by the incredible delivery speed—just fantastic.

Delivery and communication are both top-notch. As for the sabre, the workmanship is 8/10—the fuller is missing on the blade. After matting the steel parts and the blade, it looks much better than a mirror finish. The sabre is light and swings quite well in the hand.
