Forged from Japanese stainless steel AUS-10A, the blade, once hardened, generally achieves a precise hardness level of 58-61 HRC. This steel provides a balanced combination of abrasion and corrosion resistance, maintains a sharp edge, and allows for straightforward resharpening.

Equipped with a Reverse Tanto profile, the blade measures 95 mm in length and has a thickness of 3.8 mm. A black coating minimizes glare and delivers enhanced protection to the surface against environmental elements.

G10 handle

Constructed from G10 glass-epoxy laminate, the handle offers outstanding resistance to moisture and temperature changes, ensuring reliable durability against regular operational wear. Ergonomic shaping and a non-slip texture provide a secure and stable hold. An opening at the handle’s end enables the attachment of a safety cord or lanyard.

Atlas Lock

Blade deployment is achieved via a double-sided thumb stud. Secure blade retention is provided by the Atlas Lock, a slider-style mechanism accessible from either side. In the open position, a stop pin engages with the locking system, absorbing a portion of the blade’s operational stresses and transferring them directly into the handle to minimize direct impact on the locking interface. Such force dispersion helps decrease the wear on critical contact components. Blade closure is managed through the sliding control, allowing for a controlled, safe retraction of the blade.

A spring clip integrated into the handle ensures easy everyday carry, enabling the knife to be securely attached to a belt or pocket edge. The clip is reversible and can be installed in the tip-up position to accommodate both right- and left-handed users.

AUS-10 is a high-quality stainless steel produced by the Japanese company Aichi Steel, considered one of the best in the AUS steel series, used mainly in mid-range and high-end utility knives, produced mainly in Japan and Taiwan. The carbon content (0.95-1.1%) ensures high hardness, while chromium (13-14.5%) guarantees very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. The steel also contains manganese (up to 1%), silicon (up to 1%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), and sulfur (up to 0.025%), which affect hardenability, impact strength, elasticity, and machinability, improving structural stability and maintaining mechanical properties. After hardening, the steel achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, offering an excellent balance between strength, edge retention, and ease of sharpening. It is comparable to 440C steel, differing in carbon content and the addition of vanadium, which improves structural homogeneity and increases abrasion resistance.

Atlas Lock
Atlas Lock is a modern Cold Steel lock, which in terms of durability brings folding knives closer to fixed blade models. The mechanism is based on two pins and a locking rod that distribute pressure evenly; the stop pin absorbs some of the blade's force, and the hidden spring is protected from dirt. The slider on the back of the handle allows for quick, two-way, and safe folding with one hand.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
