Cold Steel Magnum Warcraft Tanto XL 4034SS Fixed Blade Knife

A fixed blade knife featuring a blade length of 305 mm and a Tanto style, crafted from robust stainless steel 4034SS. Black handle scales constructed from high-strength GRN material offer a non-slip surface for a secure grip. Supplied with a sheath equipped with the Secure-Ex system, made from rigid, durable material for convenient knife carry and storage.

Japanese stainless steel 4034SS

The Warcraft XL features a Tanto-style blade crafted from Japanese 4034SS stainless steel, enhanced by a stonewash finish. This steel provides commendable resistance to blunting and allows for straightforward sharpening. The blade utilizes a flat grind, delivering strong cutting efficiency while maintaining a robust, break-resistant thickness. Jimping is integrated along the spine at the thumb rest, improving blade control during use.

Full Tang construction, GRN scales

Designed with an ergonomically shaped handle, the knife features a Full Tang construction for enhanced durability. Handle scales made from GRN (Glass Reinforced Nylon)—a glass fibre-reinforced nylon—offer high resistance to mechanical wear and environmental stress. A non-slip surface ensures a secure grip during operation. The handle is finished with a lanyard hole at the end, enabling the attachment of a securing cord.

Sheath with Secure-Ex

Included in the set is a durable Secure-Ex sheath, crafted from a lightweight, impact-resistant material. Grommets and holes on either side of the sheath enable multiple mounting positions for attachment to a belt or gear.

Secure-Ex feature
Secure-Ex
Secure-Ex is a system developed by Cold Steel, designed for the safe storage and convenient carrying of knives and tools. Sheaths made with this technology are lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant, making them suitable even for intensive use. They hold the knife securely in the sheath while allowing for quick and smooth draw. The system has a modular design - the sheaths can be supplemented with various fasteners, such as buckles, clips (e.g., C-Clip) or ball chains. This allows the knife to be worn on a belt, around the neck, or in other configurations, according to the user's preferences.
4034SS feature
4034SS
4034SS - an alternative designation for Krupp 4034 steel, also known as X46Cr13 or 1.4034, is a German martensitic stainless steel developed by ThyssenKrupp. The carbon content of 0.46% ensures moderate hardness, while chromium (13%) guarantees high resistance to corrosion and oxidation. The steel also has good hardenability and structural stability thanks to the addition of manganese (approx. 1%) and silicon (approx. 1%). After hardening, the steel achieves a hardness of 54-57 HRC, which ensures a durable but easy-to-resharpen edge. Thanks to its combination of corrosion resistance, easy maintenance, and good elasticity, 4034SS is a popular choice for the production of everyday carry (EDC) knives, hunting and kitchen knives, and tools.
GRN - Glass Reinforced Nylon feature
GRN - Glass Reinforced Nylon
GRN (Glass Reinforced Nylon) is a glass fiber reinforced nylon that is lightweight, highly durable, and resistant to moisture and many chemicals. The material performs well in demanding conditions, maintaining its durability even under intensive use. The surface of GRN can be completely smooth or covered with a texture that improves grip, which translates into better control and ergonomics. The robustness of GRN handles has made this material the standard in the production of EDC (Everyday Carry) knives, as well as in lightweight tactical designs.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
