The steel used to make this knife is a real masterpiece. It handles wood extremely well, and with food it's like a dream. I highly recommend it to everyone, it's worth it.
Cold Steel Master Hunter CPM 3V Stonewashed Knife
A high-end knife featuring a Full Tang design and an overall length of 235 mm. Crafted from CPM-3V powdered steel, the Drop-Point blade profile offers exceptional resistance to wear. The ergonomic handle is constructed from Kray-Ex material with a textured, non-slip surface, delivering a reliable grip in any environment. Included is a Secure-Ex sheath designed for versatile mounting options on a belt or other gear.
CPM 3V powdered steel
Forged from CPM 3V powdered steel, the blade delivers impressive performance, featuring good resistance to corrosion despite not being classified as stainless steel. Following heat treatment, the blade achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, striking an optimal balance between strength, durability, and ease of sharpening.
Drop-Point Blade
Equipped with a Drop-Point blade profile, the knife features a length of 115 mm and a thickness of 4.7 mm. This particular blade geometry enhances rigidity and ensures increased stability when handling tougher tasks. The edge utilizes a full flat grind, offering excellent cutting efficiency and allowing for straightforward resharpening, even in outdoor or field environments. Finished using the Stonewash technique, the blade achieves a semi-matte appearance.
Non-Slip Kray-Ex Handle
Featuring an ergonomically contoured handle crafted from Kray-Ex, this design stands out for its remarkable flexibility and superior resistance to wear. The non-slip texture ensures a secure hold, even under difficult weather conditions. A hole for a safety cord is integrated at the handle’s end.
Secure-Ex Sheath
A Secure-Ex system sheath is included with the knife. Featuring a snap-fastened loop, the sheath enables quick attachment or detachment from a belt without needing to remove the belt itself. Extra holes along the edges provide options for multi-position sheath mounting on various types of gear.

Brilliant steel at a low price.

My copy is perfect, the grind is also even. After use in the forest, for example batoning, I don't notice any play, and the rest is obvious... Good sheath and brilliant steel, probably the best for this type of knife.

I had the knife for a few days. We didn't get along, but that doesn't mean the knife was bad. Here's what I didn't like, the rest was okay. 1. Rounded spine edges 2. Very aggressive handle texture. Even though the skin on my hands is tough as an elephant, it quickly tired me out. 3. Poorly fitting sheath or the handle is too wide – it takes effort to remove the knife from it. For comparison, I had the version with SanMai III and the fit was very secure, while the knife locked in smoothly and gently with a click.
