In reality, it solves 99% of EDC problems. From cutting food to opening packages. Always at hand. The best knife. Note - it has lens-shaped descents. Cuts like a razor. But the steel does not stay sharp for too long. However, it's easy to fix on a whetstone in a few minutes. For me, the best knife. The paint on the inscriptions is smudged.
Cold Steel Micro Recon 1 Tanto 4034SS Folding Knife
The Recon 1 has been in production for many years, earning a reputation as one of the toughest tactical knives in the Cold Steel lineup. The Micro Version represents the most compact model in this collection.
A folding EDC knife (Every Day Carry) equipped with a blade featuring a Tanto profile. Crafted from German 4034SS steel, the blade offers excellent resistance to corrosion. The Stonewash finish delivers a matte appearance, effectively reducing the chance of glare. For swift deployment, a double-sided thumb stud is included. Secure blade lockup in the open position is ensured by the Tri-Ad Lock. A black Zy-Ex composite handle ensures a secure, non-slip grip. A spring clip allows for easy and practical everyday carry.
German 4034SS steel
Forged from German stainless steel 4034SS, the blade boasts excellent strength and superior resistance to corrosion. Through precision heat treatment, it attains a hardness level of 54-57 HRC, ensuring a robust edge that is both long-lasting and easy to resharpen.
Tanto blade with stonewash finish
Equipped with a Tanto-style blade, measuring 50 mm in length and 5.5 mm in thickness, this knife offers a smooth cutting edge complemented by a high hollow grind. The blade undergoes a Stonewash finish, resulting in a matte texture that enhances both its visual appeal and resistance to scratches.
non-slip handle made from Griv-Ex composite
Robust Griv-Ex composite scales form the handle, offering exceptional durability and a secure hold due to their non-slip surface. The inclusion of a finger choil improves handling, granting precise control even in wet or grimy conditions. Aggressive jimping along the spine of the handle delivers solid thumb support, further increasing blade control when cutting. A convenient opening at the handle's end makes it easy to attach a lanyard or safety cord.
Tri-Ad Lock, double-sided thumb stud
When open, the blade is locked in place by the Tri-Ad Lock system, an enhanced version of the traditional Back Lock. Recognized as one of the most reliable and robust locking mechanisms in folding knives, it offers exceptional stability. Featuring a double-sided thumb stud on the blade, it enables swift, one-handed deployment.

Small, pocket knife... I recommend it.

I wanted to have a blade at hand, but something I wouldn't feel in my pocket. An "emergency" solution. This knife is spot on. Quality - cold steel - I can't complain. I recommend it if you're looking for something small and good quality.

Just like others wrote, a keychain. In reality, it is smaller than it looks in the pictures. Additionally, I got a dull piece. The product is not worth the price.
-
Compact and useful knife. It ended up in my duty pouch as a spare work knife. Thanks to its size, it doesn't get in the way and is always at hand. The lock is great as in all CS knives. The cutting edge is very sharp.

Another blade from Cold Steel and certainly not the last one :) Despite its small size, it's very handy and the sharpness is just right.
-
It's on my Keychain since it arrived in the mail. Use it for opening boxes every day and still there is no need for sharpening.. Just awesome
