CPM 3V high-carbon steel
Crafted from CPM 3V high-carbon steel, the blade offers excellent impact toughness and superior wear resistance. While not classified as stainless steel, it delivers commendable corrosion resistance when properly maintained. Heat treatment refines the blade to a hardness of 58-61 HRC, ensuring a balance of strength, long-lasting performance, and straightforward sharpening.
Clip-Point profile blade
Equipped with a Clip-Point style blade, measuring 152 mm in length and 5 mm in thickness. Featuring a plain cutting edge finished with a Flat Grind, the blade boasts a satin finish that produces a consistent linear pattern after production, minimizes light reflection off the blade, and effectively conceals minor scratches from everyday use.
Kray-Ex handle
The handle utilizes Kray-Ex polymer, featuring an ergonomically contoured design and a non-slip surface for superior grip and precise control, even in wet or dirty conditions. A lanyard hole is positioned at the end of the handle for attaching a safety cord.
Secure-Ex sheath
Crafted using the Secure-Ex system, the sheath features material engineered to withstand environmental factors. A fitted inlet and snap-fastened loop ensure the knife is held firmly in place, minimizing the chance of accidental release. The loop enables convenient attachment to a belt, while multiple holes and grommets support multi-position mounting on compatible gear.

Moderate disappointment. That's how I would describe my opinion about this knife. From new, the cutting edge had a minor nick. OK. I'll fix it on the triangle. The false edge is basically sharpened to a fine point. It didn't bother me until I used it to strike sparks from a ferro rod. One pass on the ferro rod, which is really soft. The false edge got a small flaw. I take a magnifying glass, look, and am shocked. The edge melted/burnt with loss. I'm going back to 1095 carbon steel.

A knife worth paying a bit more for. The quality is really great, and of course that specific alloy of several hardnesses does the job. One of my favorite utility knives. I recommend it 100%.
-
Very good quality, fits securely in the hand.
-
I can honestly recommend! Equipment for years, very good quality steel, the handle provides a strong and secure grip. For a long time I was looking for a universal knife for long trips, one that would be handy but also comfortable for heavier tasks. SKR is perfect.
-
I recommend it, really solid equipment. I hesitated for a long time before buying it, but it was worth it.
-
Very good workmanship, I recommend it.
-
Great survival knife for this price.
-
Unbreakable if you treat it like a knife and not like a crowbar. Batoning, heavier camp work, food preparation—it does what it should. Feels great in the hand. The steel holds an edge and doesn't chip. Sharpened on good stones or a sharpener, it shaves hair and cuts like crazy. One of my favorites. The sheath is very good and solid. The handle holds very well. Nothing has loosened in over half a year.

Beautifully crafted blade and the San Mai laminate adds class.
-
The knife isn't cheap, but the difference in the steel compared to the budget version is huge. A purchase for years to come.

One of the best store-bought knives you can have: large, very comfortable, and very well-made. It keeps its sharpness for a long time and the sheath provides many mounting options.
