Tactical and military knives are durable and are intended to serve as reliable tools. Therefore, such knives will be valued not only by soldiers, but by a wide range of potential users. Such knives can be both folding and fixed-blade - each has different advantages. Folding ones are easier to carry, but it is the knives with a fixed head that are characterized by the highest durability, which translates into the safety of the user performing various works with the knife. So-called finki are also an interesting option.

If any damage or, for example, uncontrolled folding occurs during the handling of the knife, then, among other things, the user's hand is exposed to potential injury. Therefore, the highest possible durability and reliability will be crucial. This is why knives with a fixed head are often more suitable for heavy-duty applications, i.e. those in which more force is used and therefore expose the tool to potential damage.

Knives of full-tang construction, i.e. with the blade's shank passing through the entire handle, are among the very sturdy designs that are more suitable for, among other things, applications such as batoning or digging holes in the ground (in situations when no better tools are at hand). Different profiles of the blade or, for example, many types of handles are a guarantee that each potential user of the knife will easily find a copy for himself - the one that best fits his individual needs.
