The Ontario Company, or rather the Ontario Knife Company (OKC for short), was founded in 1889 in upstate New York. To this day, it has gained a near cult status among all hobbyists in the knife category. Its services were also used by the US military, as it was the company that produced such iconic knives as the M7 and M9 Bayonett, Navy MK3 and Air Force Survival Knife. Thanks to its experience in cooperation with the military, Ontario tactical knives with a fixed head are an excellent choice not only for the uniformed services, but also for all buschcraft and survival enthusiasts, as well as all those who appreciate the highest quality of the tools they use.

Two series of Onatrio knife Company's non-folding knives designed for survial as well as buschcraft deserve special attention, and these are the SP and RAT series. The former relies primarily on excellent quality 1095 high-carbon steel, which will cope well with the toughest tasks that will meet us in the woods while camping. Knives equipped with this grade of steel hold their sharpness for an extremely long time and can cut even smaller trees or thick branches that stand in our way. At the same time, remember to maintain such steel with special anti-corrosion oils, as neglect can lead to the appearance of corrosion foci on the head. Ontario's Rat series of fixed-head tactical knives is an extension of their offering of the most recognizable knife from the American manufacturer, namely Rat-1. While Rat folding knives are equipped with the excellent Japanese Aus-8 steel, Rat-5 also features 1095 high-carbon steel. Rat is an acronym for Randall's Adventure & Training, a company that primarily deals with survival training in the very harsh conditions of Latin America. Thanks to the cooperation of the two manufacturers, the Rat series has just been created, characterized by incredible ergonomics and usability, and the cooperation of these two companies should be great proof of the utility of knives that will not let you down in any conditions.

What sets these knives apart from the rest is definitely great value for money. In addition to the high-quality steel used in their manufacture, these tools are also equipped with specialized handle linings such as G-10 or Micarta. These are plastics used to protect the grip of the hand, their rough texture adheres precisely to the hand, increasing the level of safety when working with the knife. An additional advantage is the resistance of such handles to atmospheric agents and mechanical damage - it is very difficult to destroy or chip them. Knives are also manufactured in Full Tang construction, that is, they are made of a single piece of steel, and the facings are attached with screws or rivets. This is a highly desirable design by all camping enthusiasts, but also by uniformed services, as it is characterized by excellent balance and provides the greatest robustness of all types of knives. Such tools can confidently be compared with the functionality of small axes or machetes, depending on the head, but this does not exclude more precise work in the field. We hope that the above description of Ontario tactical knives with a fixed head has appealed to you and confirmed your choice. If you are still hesitant to buy your first piece from the American manufacturer. Remember that Ontario knives are on the equipment of many special units not only in the USA, which only proves their usefulness. An additional advantage is the attractive price, as it is safe to say that on the market you will find knives much more expensive, but not necessarily as versatile and made of such good materials as those from under the OKC banner.
