Za-Pas WZ.25 Grom Stonewashed Fixed Blade Knife - Black
The WZ.25 Grom Stonewashed knife, created by Militaria.pl in collaboration with soldiers and outdoor specialists, is a project brought to life by the acclaimed Polish Za-Pas manufactory. Constructed as a robust tactical tool, it is equipped with a 15-centimeter Clip-Point profile blade and utilizes Full Tang engineering for superior strength. A key advantage is its blade, crafted from premium Swedish Sleipner steel and expertly heat-treated to maximize performance. The handle, fitted with ergonomically shaped G10 laminate scales, ensures both comfort and lasting durability. The set provides a sturdy sheath fashioned from impact-resistant ABS plastic for belt mounting, complemented by a versatile attachment for multiple carrying options.
Sleipner tool steel
The WZ.25 Grom Stonewashed variant is crafted from a single piece of Sleipner tool steel, engineered by the renowned Swedish Uddeholm steelworks. Exceptional resistance to abrasion combines with superior resistance to cracking and chipping—a rare, yet highly sought-after combination for blades intended for demanding tasks and tactical use. Corrosion susceptibility remains significantly lower than that of standard low-alloy tool steels. Sleipner steel draws its name from Norse mythology—named after the legendary eight-legged steed ridden by Odin, the god associated with war and warriors.
Geometry and hardening, flat ground, cross guard and notch on the back
Featuring a Clip-Point profile and a blade length of 146 mm, the blade is hardened to 59 +/-1 HRC and finished with the Stonewash method to achieve a semi-matte appearance. With a flat grind extending halfway up the blade and a thickness of 4.2 mm, the design offers exceptional durability while preserving optimal slicing performance. Reinforced tip geometry greatly reduces the likelihood of breakage. Jimping (notches) along the spine where the thumb rests enhance control during cutting. The residual, single-sided cross guard is designed not to impede usage and, together with an index finger cutout, provides reliable hand protection even during demanding thrusts.
G10 laminate handle scales, safety cable hole
Scales with an ergonomic contour, crafted from rugged G10 glass-epoxy laminate, are fastened to the tang to form the handle. The non-reflective, matte finish of the scales ensures a reliable grip, even in wet or dirty conditions. A lanyard hole is integrated at the butt of the handle, making it easy to attach a safety cord.
Rugged ABS sheath with multi-position attachment
The set features a rigid sheath crafted from lightweight, damage-resistant ABS plastic. Strategically placed holes and grommets on both sides of the sheath offer versatile, multi-position mounting options for your gear. Secured by a steel fin, the nylon belt loop is firmly attached to the sheath, providing exceptional durability and structural integrity.

WZ-25 Very nicely made, durable, sharp right out of the box. Worth recommending and its price. It's my first knife of this kind. I'll see how it holds up in a few years :D

The WZ-25 is my ideal long-awaited forest knife. It fits perfectly in the hand, is hefty but not clumsy. Slipner steel holds sharpness very well, and the blade itself gives you a sense of complete control during cutting and heavy-duty tasks. The handle is ergonomic and secure, even with a wet hand. The sheath is well-made and holds the knife firmly in place. This is a tool you actually want to take to the forest and use without worry that something will overwhelm it. An ideal choice for someone who needs a strong work knife – without frills, but with real functionality. I recommend it.

I definitely recommend it. A thoughtfully designed and well-made knife. Paired with the sheath, it looks like a tactical knife, but when you take it in your hand, you can't help but feel that it is a very good bushcraft or survival knife. The balance, weight, size, and shape of the blade along with the handle make the knife literally rotate by itself in your hand. The handle is perfectly finished, and when you look closely at the details of the blade (guard and jimping) along with the stonewashed finish, the Za-Pas WZ.25 knife takes on a handmade character. The ABS sheath is well-fitted and finished - no burrs or sharp edges. Of course, the biggest advantage for me is that it is fully Polish-made. It turns out that the Za-Pas WZ.25 is an excellent knife.

Very nice knife, excellent workmanship, finish, and sharpening. The fit with the sheath is also excellent. I really liked it, I highly recommend it to everyone.
-
A large, solid field knife. The workmanship is decent, and the materials are better than good for the work it is intended for. The sheath does its job. I recommend it with a clear conscience.

Very nicely made and fitted, sharpened, really does a great job. For camping in the forest or survival. Very versatile. Highly recommend.

A very solid tactical-outdoor knife that makes a good impression right from the first contact. The WZ.25 Grom from Za-Pas stands out with its robust full tang construction and Sleipner steel, known for its high resistance to wear and damage, making it well-suited for tough work in the field. The G10 laminate handle provides a secure grip even in difficult conditions, and the balance and blade thickness make the knife suitable for both survival and typical utility tasks. The stonewashed coating further helps to mask signs of use and increases resistance to corrosion. Overall, it is a very reliable, "working" knife—focused more on durability and functionality than on gadgets.
-
Durable, fits well in the hand, sharp and solid. Works well outdoors and for daily use. A sure grip and reliability in every situation. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The first thing I thought when I saw it was that it's a copy of the SRK, so I compared the two knives in the field. The advantages include greater weight and better steel, and that's about it. There are quite a few shortcomings: the sheath is of poor quality, creaks, and has gaps at the joint; the holes and their width seem randomly cut, too narrow for the straps used in molle, the loop for the belt is tiny, military belts don't fit. The only advantage is that it holds the knife well without rattling. The knife itself isn't full tang, but a skeletonized tang, there's a cut-out hole, so the construction is less durable, the handle scales are thin and slippery, so how can you work with this in a trench, in mud; they loosen during work, and overall the handle is small, not suitable for an adult man or soldier, maybe only for someone from North Korea or a girl. The jimping is uncomfortable and made too rough, really unnecessary, the guard is angular with sharp edges, the coating supposedly is abrasion-resistant until a piece chips off. And that's not just my opinion, because I let some friends compare the two knives and all chose the SRK. Fix these things and it will become a really solid knife worth its price. Fix the sheath, make the holes like in the SRK and the belt loop bigger and openable, make the knife full tang, without jimping, round off the guard on the finger side, make thicker handle scales with some pattern or grooves to improve grip, then I'd buy it even for four hundred because it'll be worth it.

The only good thing about this knife is the steel, the rest is rubbish, especially the quality of workmanship, a crooked blade, and a sloppily finished handle. I definitely do not recommend this poor product.

Great craftsmanship with precise attention to every detail, good sharpness, looks very solid and will definitely perform excellently in the field. The price is okay, it’s not a cheap knife, but it definitely belongs to the premium category.
