The thermos cap, serving as the closure, features a safety valve button that, when pressed prior to unscrewing, releases any excess pressure built up from storing hot food or liquids. This function significantly minimizes the risk of the cap forcefully ejecting or the release of hot steam, which can sometimes result in the splashing of hot contents.
