I bought it for my daughter for a camp under tents; she wanted not to freeze like in her previous/old one. In this regard, Fjord did great—maybe even too great—but that’s no problem, as it’s easier and more comfortable to unzip the sleeping bag than to sleep in two sweatshirts. Very good workmanship. Once packed, it takes up a lot of space, so it’s not suitable for hiking camps, but for stationary use, it’s excellent.

Temperatures and conditions of use
The operating temperatures of the Hamar sleeping bag are specified according to the EN 13537 standard:
- T-max: 19 deg. C - the highest temperature at which you can sleep in the sleeping bag without overheating,
- T-comfort: 4 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably throughout the night,
- T-limit: -1 deg. C - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -16 deg. C - the lowest temperature at which survival in the sleeping bag is possible. This is not a recommended value for standard use.
Polyester reinforced with Rip-Stop, PoliCotton lining
The outer layer made of 210T polyester with Rip-Stop weave effectively protects against abrasions and mechanical damage while reducing the risk of further tearing of the material. The inner lining made of PoliCotton combines the softness of cotton with the durability of polyester, ensuring pleasant skin contact and good breathability. The bottom part of the sleeping bag is shaped like a foot box, providing a better fit to the natural foot position. This construction reduces unnecessary space and improves heat retention in the leg area. Inside, there is a small pocket for essential accessories and loops for attaching an additional insulating liner.
Eko Loft Hollowfiber filling
The synthetic Eko Loft Hollowfiber filling made from spirally twisted, siliconized polyester fibers is responsible for heat retention. Quilting of the outer fabrics immobilizes the filling, ensuring its even distribution over the entire surface of the sleeping bag. The insulation retains its thermal insulating properties even after getting wet, washing, and intensive use. The filling does not cause allergic reactions and is suitable for people allergic to feather.
Zipper on the right side, Anti-Bite system
The sleeping bag is equipped with a two-way zipper positioned on the right side, allowing for full opening from both the top and bottom and facilitating quick entry and exit. Thanks to the Anti-Bite system, the material does not get caught in the zipper. Internally, the zipper is secured with a thermal strip. The model can be connected with another sleeping bag from the same series.
Integrated hood protecting against the cold, DUO drawcord
The built-in hood with a 3D construction enhances thermal protection by wrapping the head and preventing heat loss during low temperatures. Its shape also provides additional protection against wind and moisture. The DUO drawcord combines both elastic and tape. The elastic placed around the neck allows for hand release without the need for adjustment. The tape at the back allows for quick loosening at a selected point, which is particularly useful during nighttime activities.

At near zero temperatures in the mountains, sleeping in a tent (also Fjord tent:), I had to unzip my sleeping bag several times at night because it was very warm. For expeditions in such mild winter, it’s just right. I recommend this sleeping bag as well as other Fiord Nansen products.
