Temperatures and conditions of use
The temperature ratings of the Nordkapp sleeping bag specified in accordance with EN 13537:
- T-comfort: 8 deg C - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
- T-limit: 4 deg C - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
- T-extreme: -1 deg C - the lowest temperature at which it is possible to survive in the sleeping bag. This is not a value recommended for standard use.
20D nylon with Water Repellent coating
Both the inner and outer layers utilize lightweight 20D nylon, finished with a water-repellent WR (Water Repellent) coating. The fabric's waterproof properties reduce moisture ingress. The interior includes a small pocket ideal for storing essential accessories, along with loops designed for securing an additional insulating liner.
Duck down filling, H-shaped construction
Effective thermal insulation combined with optimal air circulation is achieved through a filling of Polish duck down in a 91/9 ratio. The down features a fill power of 700 cuin, ensuring excellent compressibility and enabling the sleeping bag to pack down to a compact size. An H-shaped chamber construction prevents shifting and clumping of the down. The drawstring footbox incorporates an extra layer of down to enhance thermal efficiency, delivering superior insulation for the feet.
Left-side zipper, Anti-Bite system
A two-way zipper is situated on the left side of the sleeping bag, enabling full opening from either the top or bottom and facilitating swift entry and exit. The addition of a fluorescent puller ensures convenient unzipping even in low-light conditions. With the Anti-Bite system, the fabric is safeguarded from becoming caught in the zipper. An internal thermal strip shields the zipper, providing extra protection.
