The color looks great. I really liked the quality of the stitching and the finishing. The Velcro straps at the sleeves deserve special mention — they are stiffened and solidly reinforced, which I consider an advantage. The material is lightweight and well-ventilated, so it can easily be worn in summer and during the spring and autumn seasons even at temperatures around +25. I also used it as a light jacket at +17 to +20, but then I wore warmer clothes underneath. The downside is that before the first wash, the shirt smells like a DVD box right after being taken out of the packaging. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase, and the color has not changed at all throughout the whole year. I chose the size according to the chart, and it fit perfectly.
Helikon-Tex Raid Polycotton Stretch Rip-Stop Combat Shirt - US Woodland
A combat shirt made of PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop fabric (50% polyester, 48% cotton, 2% spandex), which is highly resistant to abrasion and tearing. The Raid model features a raglan construction. The sleeves are sewn directly into the collar, which means there are no seams on the shoulders.
8 practical pockets
The combat shirt fastens with buttons covered by a flap, and its practicality is ensured by 8 ergonomic pockets:
- two buttoned pockets on the chest,
- one on each shoulder, fastened with Velcro or a button,
- two flat, open pockets on the shoulder pockets,
- two mesh pockets inside, one with a zipper and one open.
The pockets are equipped with loops to which you can attach gear so it doesn’t get lost during activities. The elbows feature special reinforcements in the form of a double layer of fabric, which also serves as pockets for foam protective inserts. The width of the cuffs is adjustable with Velcro.
Velcro straps
Velcro strips have been sewn onto the chest-level pockets, as well as onto the pockets and flaps on the shoulders, allowing you to attach any emblems—such as a national flag, a unit insignia, or so-called Morale Patches—thereby giving the combat shirt a personalized look.
Raglan construction
Thanks to the raglan construction, the sleeves are sewn all the way down to the chest, which means there are no seams on the shoulders. This design is often found in sportswear and is intended to provide maximum freedom of movement and flexibility.
Main features
- raglan construction
- durable PolyCotton Rip-Stop blend
- 8 practical pockets
- button closure covered by a placket
- Velcro strips for customization
Woodland camouflage
Woodland, also known as U.S. Woodland or M81, is a classic camouflage pattern introduced to the US Armed Forces in the early 1980s, based on the earlier ERDL camouflage. For over two decades, it remained the standard pattern used by the US military until the end of the first decade of the 21st century. It is characterized by large, irregular patches in shades of green, brown, beige, and black, which provide good camouflage and deformation properties, especially in wooded areas. Thanks to its effectiveness and global recognition, it has spawned numerous variations that have found their way into over 60 uniform formations around the world. The pattern has also had a huge impact on popular culture, shifting from military applications to everyday fashion.

Size: L
Helikon Tex once again shows that it can create a truly excellent product. At my height of 183 cm, size L fits very well, although the sleeves are a bit too long. This is because size M would be better in that regard, but on the other hand it would be too tight in the shoulders, as I have broad shoulders. Fortunately, the sleeves can be neatly rolled up without any problem. I put 6 mm neoprene inserts into the elbow pockets and they fit perfectly. The shirt works great in spring, autumn, and winter, as well as in summer, although then I would probably use it only up to temperatures of around 27 degrees, preferably with a cotton T-shirt underneath. Shipping, as usual, was lightning fast!

Size: S
Great quality from Helikon-Tex, the material is slightly stretchy, the cut is very well done, and the fit is slightly tailored at the waist. When choosing the size, it is worth being cautious and checking the size chart carefully. I usually wear size M, but in this case size S was the right one.

A well-thought-out hoodie. Great ripstop fabric with stretch. Very well-designed pockets on the sleeves and chest. The hoodie is tapered at the waist, so for people with a bit of a belly it may initially feel a little tight around the waist, but the material is stretchy and loosens up after a few washes.

In terms of quality, the sweatshirt is very well made, and the material feels solid and of good quality. Unfortunately, I have a big problem with the size. I ordered size L and the sweatshirt is very wide around the belly, which makes it look a bit like a sack. The length of the sweatshirt and sleeves is appropriate, but its cut is definitely too loose.

This is already my third shirt from this series, this time in the holy pattern, and I have to say that if it weren’t for those shoulder pockets, no one would notice it’s not an official uniform. Super comfortable, high-quality craftsmanship and materials. Very elegant and fitted cut. Just like the previous one, I switched from size L to M, and at 183cm and 82kg it fits perfectly. Highly recommended.

Very nice cut and old-school vibe of the uniform sweatshirt. Additionally, it's quite reasonably priced. The perfect choice for the shooting range. I'm waiting for more camouflages. 5/5

An excellent shirt, characteristic of Helikon's high standard. If you prefer a more fitted cut, it is better to choose a smaller size. I usually buy products from this brand in size L (I'm 1.90 m tall and weigh 85 kg), but in the case of this shirt, size M turned out to be perfect.

I was surprised that a guy like me (175) still fits well in size S of this hoodie, but still. I really liked the inner pockets and everything else is great.

The sweatshirt is awesome, size M fits perfectly for 183cm and slim 84kg. The inner pockets are very well designed, there's a huge selection of patterns and I think I won't stop at just the desert night camo. It's worth buying if there's a good promotion.

This sweatshirt has already been with me for ten ASG games. What can I say? It's great! Comfortable, and the material feels like it could withstand a real war.

The OLD school sweatshirt in a new, more modern version.. :) A hybrid of old and new.. pockets on the chest and sleeves.. fastened with both velcro and buttons.. you can choose.. no pockets at the bottom.. I recommend :)
-
The sweatshirt is excellent – especially in this color, it looks very tasteful. The pockets are very spacious, especially the inner pockets are cleverly designed – the one on the right fits a map, and the left one, which is zippered, runs all the way under the armpit, but is already a bit too short for a map. Another hit from Helikon in my opinion.

This jacket is really good! Comfortable, fits nicely, and also comes in an interesting historical camouflage. Just roll up the sleeves and get some shorts. Rhodesians never die! ;)

The sweatshirt is very well made. Helikon quality, but due to its color it heats up easily and dust is very visible on the sweatshirt.
