This Helluś is like a good friend. I've had it for a long time, great knife for someone who's not into micarta and kydex. It's Helle's first full-tang and a result of their collaboration with Vox. The steel is classic Sandvik 12C27, but the heat treatment makes it just as good as 14C28. I own many Scandinavian knives from various manufacturers and steels; Utvaer, although made only from '12', gets the job done. Good grind angle for its thickness, handle is a bit small but it's meant to be a universal working knife, not a typical bushcraft blade—so for those with large hands, it may be a bit small, especially for working with gloves. It sharpens excellently, the retention is satisfactory. You can hone it so it slices tissue paper mid-air, and you don’t need diamonds or a whole day for that. ???? If you're looking for a bar to baton tank barrels, go for ESEE. If a nice Scandinavian with Norwegian roots, pick the Utvaer. Or the Nord if you have hands like a blacksmith. ????

Robust hunting knife crafted by the Norwegian brand Helle, featuring a full tang design for increased durability, with the tang running through the entire length of the handle. Created by renowned Danish knife maker Jesper Voxnaes.
The blade has a distinctive Drop-Point profile and is forged from Swedish stainless steel Sandvik 12C27, known for its exceptional edge retention, excellent corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening on virtually any sharpening stone.
An ergonomically shaped handle made from birch wood provides a comfortable and secure grip. Two holes in the handle allow for attaching a cord or lanyard.
