Solid D2 steel does the job. The knife is light, the lock works smoothly, and the click is great. I recommend it.
Medium-sized, robust folding knife featuring a satin-polished blade crafted from D2 tool steel. Designed for both outdoor adventures and everyday carry (EDC), the knife delivers reliability and versatility.
Effortless one-handed blade deployment is enabled by a flipper, which activates quickly with a push of the index finger and a flick of the wrist. Once opened, the flipper doubles as a protective guard, keeping the user’s hand secure from the blade edge during operation. Smooth, low-friction movement of the blade is achieved through the integration of ball bearings. A sturdy and dependable liner lock secures the blade in the open position.
Aggressive jimping along the spine of the knife provides a firm and stable thumb rest, ensuring safe and controlled use of the tool.
Ergonomically contoured handle scales are made from reinforced nylon with a textured, non-slip surface, enhancing grip security even in wet or muddy conditions. A lanyard hole at the handle’s end offers the option to attach a safety cord.
A deep carry clip made from spring steel allows for secure and discreet transport, easily attaching to a belt or pocket edge. Designed to be reversible, the clip supports tip-up carry for both right- and left-handed users.

Honey Badger is a brand of EDC knives created in 2014 by South African designer Marc Ager, who has been involved in the outdoor and hunting industry for many years. The first models - Claw, Hook, and Flipper - were presented in 2016 at the HuntEx trade fair in Johannesburg and immediately gained recognition thanks to their solid construction, ergonomics, and exceptional value for money. The brand is characterized by lightweight designs with a convenient ball bearing opening system, available in many variants suitable for everyday use. Today, Honey Badger is present on international markets, with official distributors in the US, France, Australia, and New Zealand, among others. The brand name refers to the honey badger, a predator known for its courage and tenacity, symbolizing the character of the knives: small but extremely durable and effective.

Browsing the offer on the website, I came across this knife and decided to write something, because I've been using this knife for a year and I can say it's exceptional. The perfect size, nothing happens to the steel, it serves as my EDC, and on YouTube you can find a video of a guy piercing a pan with this knife, and nothing happened to the knife. The only thing I would wish for is G10 scales, but those can be ordered because the manufacturer offers them. In a word - I recommend it!

Improved compared to the previous version. In the D2 steel version, there is no notch in the blade (a plus for me). For me, this size is the best of those offered.

Light, handy, holds sharpness well, comfortable to hold in the hand and looks nice too. For this price, it's a great choice. Always with me in my pocket :)

Good knife, D2 steel at this price is really a competitive offer. I recommend it.

Amazing knife. The quality is excellent. Thanks to the bearings, it opens incredibly smoothly and quickly, even with a slight press on the flipper. The blade itself is perfect for me. The clip point with a flat grind is a masterpiece for cutting. It's a bit like the RAT, but here it's 3.5mm so you immediately feel the sturdiness. The lack of thumb studs is only a plus. Cutting is smooth and the flipper is the best thing for opening. You can flick it fast if you like or open it slower and more smoothly with your thumb. At first touch, it feels very light, almost plasticky, but that's actually a plus.

Wonderful knife. For many years I used the Kershaw Cryo II and although I still consider it a great knife, it was time for a change. The Honey meets all my criteria. Right size for everyday carry, deep clip (holds tightly, maybe even a bit too tightly) and most importantly, the blade profile. 3.5mm, clip point and flat grind are the peak of cutting and utility. I chose the D2 version and you can see that it holds an edge well. The bearings make the knife open super smoothly. I highly recommend it.
