The skeleton and tools are made of high-quality stainless steel, which has been professionally heat-treated so that each component has the optimum hardness for its function.
Magnetic inserts used in the arms of the Leatherman Free P2 hold the tool stably in the folded position. The optimal strength of the magnets and the precise fit of the elements allow you to open the multitool with one hand without any problems.
Opening additional tools in the Free P2 model is simple as never before - just push their edge with your thumb pad so that they slide out from between the arms, then select and unfold the tool you want to use.
All tools folded into the arms are secured byinternal locking system locks, combining smooth operation and secure locking.
It comes with a removable elastic clip that allows the tool to be clipped to the edge of a pocket, as well as a holster with a snap closure.

A brilliant tool, I no longer need a toolbox because I can do everything with it. The only downside is the lack of a bit slot like in previous models, but you can easily solve it with a magnet and a bit extender.

Good tool to carry. Enough tools. One-handed unfolding works great and I really like that the tools open outwards. Plus for the hammer function. Unfortunately, it also has flaws e.g. the tool lock digs into your hand, and the knife is unnecessarily serrated and sticks out a lot. A ruler on the handle would be useful, too. As a tool to carry without bits and other extras—super. As a universal tool, Wave is better, cheaper, and only slightly heavier.

If it had a wood saw and a bit holder—it would be perfect. But I bought it on sale for about 250 PLN—and for that price there’s nothing better. Great magnetic lock, and the design allows you to open each tool with one hand—a big plus.

Nice idea... But maybe not so well executed. One-handed opening is fairly ok, but pulling out the tools from the side, especially the thin ones, is not very convenient. Additionally, the new locking mechanism and pliers closing latch dig a bit into the hand. If someone doesn't need one-handed opening—the Wave is still better.
