LKW Woodsman By DARKdog6 Set Fixed Blade Knife - Brown Micarta

A robust camp knife featuring a Full Tang design and fitted with a brown Micarta handle. Outfitted with a broad blade crafted from O2 Bohler K720 tool steel, the knife excels at all bushcraft activities, including outdoor food preparation. Conceptualized by Andrzej Prządka, also known as DARKdog6, the design draws on his extensive expertise in the outdoors, resulting in a knife built to handle any challenge in the wild, whether during camping, trekking, or survival scenarios. Polish knifemaker Radosław Łęgowik is responsible for the knife’s construction.

The package comes with a Protector Pruciak wax stick for blade care and rust prevention, along with two stickers emblazoned with the DARKdog6 logo. Additionally, every blade features an individually engraved serial number.

O2 Bohler K720 tool steel

Crafted from high-carbon Bohler K720 O2 tool steel and subjected to hardening for a 59 HRC rating, the knife delivers outstanding durability. The combination of premium materials and meticulous heat treatment ensures exceptional strength, crack resistance, and reliable edge retention. Maintenance remains straightforward, as the steel is simple to sharpen even in demanding field situations—an essential attribute for knives used in outdoor or bushcraft environments.

Clip-Point profile, wide blade, full flat grind

Featuring a blade length of 115 mm and a thickness of 5 mm, the knife utilizes a Clip-Point design complemented by a pronounced belly, enhancing cutting performance. Equipped with a fully flat grind, the blade is lightweight while its ergonomic profile ensures comfort and control during use. With a notable width of 45 mm and a precision-engineered, relatively thin edge, the geometry delivers superior cutting capabilities, making it highly efficient for camp kitchen tasks. The addition of a false edge along the spine increases penetration capability and forms a sharp tip for tasks demanding refined accuracy.

Positioned on the spine where the thumb naturally rests, jimping (serrations) improves grip and blade management during cuts. Sharpened edges along the spine facilitate reliable sparking. The blade showcases a Stonewash finish, minimizing glare and making any scratches acquired during use less noticeable.

Micarta handle, cross guard, lanyard hole

Shaped for optimal ergonomics, the handle is made from Micarta, a robust epoxy resin-based material that is both durable and waterproof, providing a reliable and secure grip in any environment. A cross guard is integrated into the handle design to effectively keep the hand from sliding onto the blade during operation. The end of the handle is fitted with a lanyard hole, allowing for the attachment of a safety cord.

Rigid Kydex sheath, belt loop

Included in the set is a durable sheath crafted from lightweight and damage-resistant Kydex material. Multiple holes and slots on both sides of the sheath enable versatile attachment options to gear. A belt loop is integrated on the back for secure belt carry.

O2 feature
O2
O2 is a medium carbon tool steel (approximately 0.9%) characterized by good hardness, abrasion resistance, and strength. Its carbon content ensures high hardness in the range of 58-60 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, which allows for a durable cutting edge. This steel also contains small amounts of manganese (0.3%) and silicon (0.2%), which improves its hardenability and structural stability. O2 is relatively easy to machine, making it a popular choice for the manufacture of cutting tools, industrial knives, files, and cutting tools. It is susceptible to corrosion and therefore requires proper maintenance and protection against rust. Due to its abrasive properties and hardness, O2 steel is mainly used in work tools that require wear resistance.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Micarta feature
Micarta
Micarta is a composite material made of layers of fabric (including canvas, linen, and paper) soaked in resin and pressed under high pressure and temperature. It is characterized by high mechanical strength, resistance to impact, abrasion, and changing weather conditions, as well as dimensional stability, which makes it ideal for knife handles. The surface of Micarta provides a secure grip and can be finished smooth or left with a slight texture to improve control over the tool. The material does not conduct heat or electricity, tolerates contact with moisture well, and acquires a characteristic patina over time, emphasizing the individual style of the knife. Thanks to its combination of durability, environmental resistance, and unique appearance, Micarta is widely used in EDC, outdoor, and collector's knives.

User profile of the knife in the field. We have both an ergonomic handle and plenty of power in this wide blade. Great for outdoor cooking because preparing food with it is a pleasure.
