I have been using Lowa Renegade II GTX MID TF MF - Dark Brown shoes for 2 weeks and overall they are very good. I used them in temperatures ranging from -10 to +2 degrees Celsius, and in this range, as well as during a 2-hour drive with the cabin temperature set to 20 degrees, they were comfortable. At -10 degrees C, I had to wear warmer socks instead of thin cotton summer ones, but that's normal. Compared to the Zephyrs, they are more versatile and are more comfortable at low temperatures. They have two small disadvantages: they slip on icy surfaces (compared to other shoes worn by people who walked with me) and the tongue could be as long as in the Zephyrs or Breachers. The one used is too short in my opinion and the shoelace can slip off and loosen, but that's a minor detail. During a 5 km walk, I had to adjust it just 3 times. If I didn't use all the "eyelets" and left the last one free, it would be better, but then the shoe wouldn't fit as snugly higher up, and I prefer the boot to be snug all the way up. Aside from these two minor flaws, my impression is one – a solid shoe that should withstand more than the Zephyr.
