I bought a thicker pad as an upgrade for the Magpul CTR stock. It improved the ergonomics for me. It seems that the stock fits a bit better into the shoulder pocket as well. And overall, it looks cooler – it gives it a certain extra aggressiveness. Good material and workmanship. Includes mounting screws.
Recoil pad engineered for CTR and MOE stocks in Mil-Spec standard, as well as all STR, ACS-L, and ACS stocks. Constructed from black rubber, its profile offers an expanded contact area, delivering enhanced recoil absorption and superior anti-slip performance to stabilize the stock and maintain secure placement in the shoulder pocket during firing.
Set includes: recoil pad and two mounting screws.
Recoil pad fits CTR and MOE Commercial-Spec stocks, though it may restrict complete folding of the stock. The recoil pad is not compatible with the MOE Fixed Carbine Stock model.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Magpul.
Magpul Industries Corporation is an American company founded in 1999 by former USMC Sergeant Richard Fitzpatrick. Its name comes from its first product, the MagPul grip, inspired by field solutions that facilitate quick magazine removal. The brand gained renown thanks to its PMAG polymer magazines for AR-15 platforms and STANAG-compliant magazines, known for their exceptional durability and reliability even with M855A1 ammunition. Another breakthrough was the M-LOK mounting system, which allows for quick attachment of accessories and has been adopted as a NATO standard. The company has built its reputation by focusing on the real needs of shooters, and obtaining a NATO Stock Number for EMAG has opened the way for large military orders.

Whether it reduces recoil better, I don't think so because I don't know what caliber you would have to shoot. It certainly adds a few millimeters if someone is missing some:)
