I bought a thicker pad as an upgrade for the Magpul CTR stock. It improved the ergonomics for me. It seems that the stock fits a bit better into the shoulder pocket as well. And overall, it looks cooler – it gives it a certain extra aggressiveness. Good material and workmanship. Includes mounting screws.

Constructed from black rubber, its profile offers an expanded contact area, delivering enhanced recoil absorption and superior anti-slip performance to stabilize the stock and maintain secure placement in the shoulder pocket during firing.

Recoil pad fits CTR and MOE Commercial-Spec stocks, though it may restrict complete folding of the stock. The recoil pad is not compatible with the MOE Fixed Carbine Stock model.

Whether it reduces recoil better, I don't think so because I don't know what caliber you would have to shoot. It certainly adds a few millimeters if someone is missing some:)
