A cool stock that is an upgraded version of the CTR. The cheek weld is more comfortable than in the regular CTR, and additionally there are compartments for batteries, which are more of a gadget for me. The downside is the higher weight of the stock.

Robust stock engineered for AR-15/M4 series rifles compatible with Mil-Spec receiver extensions. Constructed from lightweight, impact-resistant black polymer.
The Magpul STR features a rubber recoil pad measuring 0.3" (76 mm) in thickness, providing slip resistance. A shielded adjustment button is included, featuring a lock mechanism to prevent unintended disengagement.
Located at the rear and upper portion of the stock are sealed battery compartments on both sides, each capable of holding 2 CR123A or AA batteries.
Compatibility extends to Magpul ASAP, ASAP QD slings, as well as other receiver-mounted sling attachments. The stock also supports tactical sling configurations in two standards: QD (reversible port for either side) and two elongated slots for threading standard 1.25" (31.75 mm) slings.

Excellent quality stock. I've been using it in my AR15 for a long time and I can't say a bad word about it. I am very satisfied with the purchase. I recommend it, the price may be high but it's worth it.

Well-made stock, I chose it because of the widened cheek piece profile. The compartments are useful. As for the play on the tube, I don't see a dramatic difference from the previous one. The striker included in the set is made of poor material; according to the instructions it should be used for assembly, but the tip chipped at the first use.

Excellent stock from Magpul. It holds the tube very well and practically eliminates all play. High-quality material and perfect workmanship. The widened cheek rest helps with proper aiming. A bonus are the compartments in the stock—not just for batteries. The stock comes with a company sticker and a striker. Nice touch. Ergonomics are at a high level. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
