I use these gloves for various tasks and they really do the job. They fit well on the hand and give a feeling of solid protection, especially when working with sharp elements. The material is durable, and the additional reinforcements and knuckle protection are a big plus. Despite this, they are not too stiff—you can work in them normally and maintain good control. The hi-viz color improves visibility, which also matters. If someone is looking for gloves for heavier work, this is a very good choice.
Mechanix Wear M-Pact D5 Hi-Viz Cut Resistant Gloves
Cut resistant gloves featuring CE level 5 cut resistance, crafted from material with fluorescent and reflective properties. Designed in accordance with ANSI-107 standards, these gloves ensure maximum visibility and enhanced safety across a range of work environments.
Armortex material, synthetic leather, touchscreen support
Constructed using Armortex® fabric and synthetic leather, these gloves offer a secure grip and minimize the risk of slipping on wet surfaces. The upper section incorporates breathable, lightweight TrekDry® material to help reduce hand perspiration. The adjustable cuff features a velcro closure. Added synthetic leather panels on the tops of the index finger and thumb enable seamless use of touchscreen devices without needing to remove the gloves.
TPR panels, impact-absorbing inserts
The outer surface of the gloves is reinforced with durable panels crafted from TPR (Thermal Plastic Rubber – a thermoplastic material compliant with EN 13594), delivering robust protection against abrasions and impacts that may occur when hands contact environmental obstacles – making them especially advantageous for building operations and CQB scenarios. The segmented design of the panels permits effortless movement of the fingers. On the palm side, the gloves feature D3O® padding, designed to dissipate impact forces and reduce vibration in the metacarpal region.
Protection standard EN388-2X43DP
The gloves comply with the American safety standard ANSI/ISEA 105 at level XA5X for resistance to cuts, abrasion, and puncture, signifying:
- X: abrasion resistance (rated from 1 to 6)
- A5: cut resistance (rated from A1 to A9)
- X: puncture resistance (rated from 0 to 5)
Compliance with the protective standard EN388 at level 2X43DP ensures resistance to mechanical hazards, meaning:
- 2: abrasion resistance (measured on a 0–4 scale)
- X: cut resistance (measured on a 0–5 scale)
- 4: tear resistance (measured on a 0–4 scale)
- 3: puncture resistance (measured on a 0–4 scale)
- D: cut resistance – TDM (ISO 13997) test (scale A–F)
- P: impact protection (complies with test)
These gloves adhere to the American standard ANSI/ISEA 138 at level 2 for impact energy absorption capability, denoting:
- 1: basic level impact protection
- 2: medium impact protection
- 3: advanced impact protection
Assessment for impact protection is based on the force transmitted (measured in kN) during certified impact tests. A lower transmitted force indicates a greater degree of protection offered by the gloves.
The ANSI/ISEA 105 standard rates abrasion on a scale from 1 to 6, measuring the number of cycles before material breakdown. Cut resistance falls on a scale from A1 to A9 (from minimal to maximum defense). Puncture resistance is marked on a 0 to 5 scale, representing the force needed to pierce the glove’s surface with a pointed probe (excluding needle puncture).
EN388 standard scales designate glove protection levels: 0 means no protection, while maximum values (4 or 5) indicate peak resistance capabilities.
The TDM method (ISO 13997) utilizes letter codes, with A as the lowest level and F as the highest protection.
X marking shows a specific parameter was either untested or irrelevant, while P denotes compliance with impact protection requirements.

TPR, or thermoplastic rubbeTPR, or thermoplastic rubber, is a material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It is flexible and durable, and is often used in the manufacture of tool handles, gaskets, footwear, and many other products, as it provides comfort, good grip and wear resistance.r, is a type of synthetic material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. TPR is characterized by its flexibility and abrasion resistance.
TrekDry is a modern material characterized by high breathability. It effectively wicks moisture away from the surface of the skin, which helps to keep it dry and thermally comfortable during intense physical activity. It fits to the shape of the hand, ensuring freedom of movement and increasing precision during various activities.
Armortex is a durable material that is highly resistant to abrasion, tearing and cutting. Its special synthetic fiber structure reinforces the areas most vulnerable to damage, and the special texture ensures better grip and a secure hold. It prevents the gloves from becoming wet in contact with water, oil or other liquids.
D3O is a modern material with intelligent molecules that move freely during normal use. However, at the moment of impact, they fuse together, absorbing and dispersing energy, then rapidly return to an elastic state. As a result, the material effectively reduces vibration, protects hands from injury and reduces hand strain while working.

Terrible, I do not recommend it. The gloves are only good for throwing away after a week of working with wood. I would not even give them one star, they seem to be for show rather than for work.

These gloves give a sense of complete protection, especially when there is a high risk of hand injury. The bright Hi Viz color enhances visibility even from a long distance, which is useful when working around machines, in warehouses, or in poorly lit areas. The M-Pact reinforcements on the knuckles protect well against impacts with hard and sharp surfaces, and the D5 level gives peace of mind when you need to put your hands into cables, metal parts, or other sharp objects. The grip is very good – tools are held firmly, hands don’t slip, and they become less fatigued during the day. However, you have to consider that the thicker protective layer limits precision – when working with screws, buttons, or delicate fasteners, it takes a bit more time. Additionally, with intensive use, your hands heat up faster. In summary, this is an excellent choice for those who prioritize safety and high protection for heavy-duty work. They work perfectly where the risk of cuts is real – this is truly a top-quality product.

Perfect for me for cycling. They are durable, protect the knuckles and fingers, and when I'm riding on the road, drivers see better where I'm turning. I recommend them.
-
They lasted 4 weeks and one and a half days of working with metal cables on a pushcart. Abrasion resistance really is 2/4, because already in the first week the upper layer started to give way. Today the seam broke, which makes further use impossible, but my hands were protected and injury-free the whole time. Inside, at the ends of the fingers, the seams are quite thick, but after a short time, they settle in and you hardly feel them. I recommend them.

I bought gloves from this company for the first time and was not disappointed. The selected size was perfect. Nice bright inserts on the top part of the gloves. Operating a smartphone is trouble-free.

Gloves perfect for outdoor work and for daily wear. Thanks to the m-pact panels, after hitting a wall, the hand doesn't hurt. I will test them in the "mud," curious to see how they'll perform.

I work at the Distribution Center as a High Storage Operator, the gloves work well both when operating the forklift and when moving boxes, I've had them for over 20 days and they're barely worn. Using a phone with the gloves on is 10/10. I recommend them.

Great and really comfortable gloves that adjust to your hand after 1-2 days of use, the best I've used so far and worth those 180 PLN. I had doubts because they look like gloves from power armor in "Fallout" but that funny impression disappeared when I put them on - they were light and comfy. You can even turn screws because after 7 days the material was already perfectly broken in for my hands!! I truly recommend them.
-
Very good gloves, comfortable and fit the hand, they seem heavy but they are not. They work great for professional drivers.
-
Tested today while cutting wood - great gloves. It seemed like they would be heavy-duty and massive but for me, they are light, flexible, and offer good protection. Lots of rubber on the outside comes in handy for tougher jobs. Surprisingly, you can also be precise with them, since you can easily pick up a nail. A little warm, but that’s expected. The Velcro is delicate, we’ll see if it clogs and how long it lasts. Instant shipping, arrived the next day.

Super = I recommend

Comfortable, strong, I recommend them.

Supposedly this is a classic M-pact, but compared to the 'tactical' version, it's definitely stiffer. At first, it seems even too stiff, but with time it breaks in. The gloves have a cut-resistant layer, so they're less breathable than standard M-pacts. However, they definitely provide better protection. Just good gloves for tough work :)
