Very easy to use and does its job. The warmth is in the range given in the description. The most important thing, though, is to properly ignite the charcoal, I did it from both sides with a jet torch, and it went out at first but after igniting a longer section, there was no more problem.

I recommend the charcoal heater. The only downside is that it's hard to ignite in strong wind and very low temperatures.

I delayed writing a review for a long time to thoroughly test the product. Out of 20 purchased inserts, maybe 5 burned out completely. I don't know why, but most of them went out just after lighting, maybe it's a matter of properly drying them. Even an insert lit from both ends could just go out after 2-3 minutes. Another issue is ignition itself, without a good lighter it's difficult. I wouldn't treat it as an emergency heat source because it might fail in such situations.

I used it during winter at the allotment. I lit the charcoal from both sides, two heaters in the sleeping bag, and as long as it burns, which is about 4 hours, full sleeping comfort.
