A loaf of rye bread with an extended shelf life of up to 24 months. Excellent for military, prepping, sailing, or tourist use.
Two layers of foil effectively protect the bread against moisture and the impact of other external factors. At the same time, they make it possible to preserve unchanged flavor throughout the storage period.
The bread was prepared from rye flour with the addition of wheat flour. A single loaf weighs 700 g, and thanks to its shape, it is easy to carry and store.
During its shelf life, the bread can be easily refreshed in several different ways:
- in a microwave - after removing the outer foil, place the loaf in the microwave for 3 minutes at 900W, then remove the inner foil and slice the bread,
- in an oven - after removing the outer foil, place the loaf in an oven preheated to 90-100°C for about 30 minutes, after removing the inner foil and cooling, slice the bread,
- in a toaster - after removing both layers of foil, slice the bread and place it in the toaster,
- in water - without removing the foil, immerse the bread in water at 90°C for about 30 minutes, after cooling remove it from the foil, slice after another 20 minutes,
- in a flameless chemical heater - without removing the foil, place the loaf in the heater and pour the specified amount of water onto the chemical insert.
Thanks to its composition, the bread contains over 30% more fiber than wheat bread. In addition, it is characterized by a high content of B vitamins, including niacin, as well as vitamin E.
The breads have been used many times by the Polish Armed Forces during peacekeeping operations, as well as by Civil Defense services during natural disasters.
