Nalgene makes very good bottles, maybe not the cheapest but solid. This is my next one, I used the previous one for several years and it went through a lot during that time – I eventually lost it :) That one had a wide mouth, while this one with a narrow mouth is much more convenient to use. The color is much nicer in reality – in the photo it looks as if it faded in the sun :)

Durable and practical, they really don't absorb the smell or taste of liquids, and even if they do, it's just a little and you only need to rinse the bottle well. Their size fits some mugs, e.g., a steel one with a foldable Quechua handle, which allows you to place the bottle inside the mug for transport. Most backpack pockets hold the bottle perfectly, unless they've been stretched earlier by 1.5L bottles. I recommend it.
