This is an interesting addition to your everyday gear, but it's also an item from the "buy it and forget you have it" category. It can be attached to your keys, your dog’s or cat’s collar, your backpack, or your fanny pack. After conducting an experiment where I charged one keychain in the sun for 3 hours, it shone very nicely, but those 10 hours of operation are a stretch; strong light lasts maybe 2-3 hours, after which you get more of a glow stick effect. The plus is that it charges itself and is reusable, unlike, for example, a glow stick for fishing. The downside is the light isn’t anything special.
