Advanced metal detector that can be used both on land and underwater.The Legend 2 model is a new, redesigned version of the flagship detector from the Nokta brand. The IP68 ingress protection rating allows for full immersion of the metal detector up to five meters and provides complete resistance to dust and dirt. The device stands out with its combination of advanced Simultaneous Multi-Frequency (SMF) technology, an expanded target identification scale, and a wide range of work modes, enabling searches in various terrain and soil conditions.
The Legend 2 is lighter, more ergonomic, and more precise than the previous generation, while maintaining full waterproofing and a long battery life. In the new version, the middle shaft is made of carbon fiber, and the armrest of lightweight ABS plastic, resulting in a reduced overall weight of the device.
The set includes two coils: LD28 11" and LD21 8", Bluetooth aptX Low Latency wireless headphones, and a Nokta DetectoBag backpack with a capacity of 38 liters.
The Legend 2 uses Simultaneous Multi-Frequency (SMF) operation technology, which means it scans multiple frequencies simultaneously for maximum depth, stability, and target separation capability in challenging soil and beach conditions. Additionally, the user can choose from five single operating frequencies: 4 kHz, 10 kHz, 15 kHz, 20 kHz, and 40 kHz, allowing for optimized detection of specific objects, such as small gold pieces or more deeply buried historic relics.
An expanded target identification scale of 99 IDs allows for the precise identification of valuable finds, and 7 audio tone options enable intuitive signal readings during detection.
5 work modes
The detector is programmed with five default modes, automatically adjusting detection parameters to different search environments:
Park (coins, artifacts in park areas)
Field (open fields and green areas)
Beach (beaches and wet sands)
Relic (deep search for larger objects)
Gold (small gold nuggets in mineralized areas)
Each of these modes is supported by the option to save custom user settings, up to a total of 15 personalized profiles.
two waterproof DD coils
The detector comes with two waterproof DD coils: the LD28 with a diameter of 11″ (28 cm) for wide ground coverage and a large detection depth, and the LD21 measuring 8″× 5.5″ (21 × 14 cm), which provides excellent separation and pinpointing accuracy in difficult terrain or confined search areas.
Nokta DetectoBag Backpack for Metal Detectors 38 l
The set includes a 38-liter backpack designed for carrying a metal detector, additional coils, and accessories necessary for field use. It is made of durable 600D–1000D polyester fabric. Compression straps and a drawstring closure allow for load stabilization and adjustment of the backpack’s volume to current transport needs. The model is compatible with the MOLLE system, enabling expansion with additional gear. A rain cover is located in the bottom compartment, effectively protecting the contents from rain and mud.
Readable display, battery power, software update
The Legend 2 model is equipped with a large, backlit LCD display and a clear button layout that facilitates quick navigation through the function menu, modes, and settings. The readable screen contains all key detection information, including target ID, work mode, battery level, and tone settings, allowing for comfortable operation even in challenging lighting or terrain conditions.
The detector is equipped with a high-capacity 6700 mAh lithium-polymer battery built into the handle, improving its balance and work ergonomics. This power source allows the device to provide long working time in the field, enabling search sessions without frequent charging. The battery can be charged with a standard USB cable, and the device supports firmware updates wirelessly too, making it easy to keep the detector's software up-to-date.
IP68 ingress protection rating ensures complete waterproofness for immersion up to a depth of 5 meters. The shaft with adjustable length in the range of 63-145 cm is made from lightweight and durable carbon fiber. The ergonomically shaped armrest is made of durable ABS plastic. Thanks to the materials used, the weight of the detector with the LD28 coil is 1.2 kg.
Bluetooth aptX Low Latency headphones
The detector comes with over-ear wireless headphones made with aptX Low Latency technology. They provide faster, higher-quality sound compared to a standard Bluetooth connection. This results in a much more accurate response to detected objects. An adjustable headband increases comfort during extended searches. The headphones feature a built-in 1200 mAh Li-Po battery. They are charged using the included USB cable. During charging, the LED light glows red and turns off when the process is complete.

I previously had the Legend 1 and there's a difference, it finds goodies like crazy :) But I don't like the pinpoint, it's totally useless, and they should make it like it was in Legend 1. The shaft with this screw, which is now easy to lose, is not a great solution either. The screen scratches a lot, just like in Legend 1 and other Noktas (why can't you give a good polycarbonate!). Overall, it's better than the 1. I went through old spots I hunted with the 1 and I dug up a bunch of stuff, I was surprised, so it's not just a visual upgrade.
