Olight Perun 3 Head and Angled Flashlight Midnight Blue with headband - 3000 lumens

Angled flashlight outfitted with three high-performance Cool White 9W LEDs using TIR optics, delivering a peak output of 3000 lumens and a beam distance of up to 160 meters. The head of the flashlight is also equipped with a dedicated 1.5W Red Max LED that produces red light at a maximum output of 60 lumens.

A6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, IP68 rating

A robust body featuring a non-slip grip is crafted from A6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and finished with a hard Type III anodized coating. Sealed with an O-ring system that complies with the IP68 standard, the flashlight delivers total protection against dust and permits submersion in water up to 2 meters deep for 30 minutes.

21700 5000 mAh battery, magnetic charger

Powered by a 21700 battery boasting a substantial 5000 mAh capacity, the Perun 3 flashlight comes equipped with everything needed for long-lasting performance. Charging is conveniently handled via the Olight MCC3 2A USB magnetic charger, included in the set. Battery installation is achieved by unscrewing the flat rear cap, which enables upright positioning of the flashlight. A robust magnet built into the cap secures the flashlight to any steel surface for hands-free use. Whenever the battery level drops below 10%, a vibration alert is emitted every 30 seconds to indicate low power. An advanced electronic control system manages LED power supply, ensuring consistent illumination in the selected mode right up until the battery is fully depleted. LED thermal protection is integrated, with the electronics automatically reducing the current after two minutes in the highest mode to stabilize output at 800 lumens, then further adjusting to 600 lumens after an additional 180 minutes.

Proximity sensor, headband, spring clip

A proximity sensor integrated into the flashlight automatically lowers the light output when the head is near an object. The set features a headband with a robust steel mounting bracket, enabling use as a headlamp. The headband is crafted from lightweight, breathable material, and a silicone strap offers extra protection against perspiration. Comfortable wear is provided by a detachable, spring-loaded clip, allowing secure attachment of the flashlight to the edge of a pocket or gear strap.

The manufacturer didn’t boast about this, but it’s worth mentioning that the beam angle matches the field of vision perfectly, so the lamp shines EVERYWHERE you turn, not just directly in front of you. Ultra mode turns night into day and outshines car headlights. I recommend it.

    The flashlight makes a very good impression – it is powerful, solid, and works great as a headlamp during night trekking. The red light mode is also a nice feature, and the ability to quickly detach the flashlight from the headband allows it to be used as a regular handheld flashlight as well. The housing is really sturdy, and I would not be afraid to take it out in the rain or in more demanding conditions. It is a bit heavier than typical headlamps, but with this level of power and build quality, that definitely does not bother me.

    Thanks to the head strap, we have a hybrid solution here – a combination of a headlamp and a handheld/angled flashlight. It works flawlessly and the build quality is good as well. Personally, I prefer the mini version, but this one has a bigger battery.
