Olight Perun 3 Mini Cool White Black Headlamp and Angled Flashlight with Headband - 1250 lumens

Angled flashlight designed as the advanced successor to the Perun 2 Mini model. Features a high-efficiency High-Performance Cool White LED/Red LED, offering two distinct lighting modes: a white beam with a maximum output of 1250 lumens, a color temperature of 5700-6700K, and an effective beam distance of up to 155 meters, along with a red light available in continuous or SOS modes. In its lowest brightness setting (2 lumens), the flashlight delivers up to 10 days of continuous operation.

Included in the package is an adjustable headband crafted from robust 3D mesh material, ensuring optimal ventilation and enabling the device to be utilized as a reliable headlamp.

Robust black body with a non-slip finish, crafted from aircraft-grade A6061-T6 aluminum, and protected by a durable type III anodized coating. The combination of premium materials and advanced sealing technology guarantees the flashlight achieves a superior waterproof standard of IPX-8 (withstanding submersion in water up to 2 meters for 30 minutes) and provides drop resistance from heights up to 1.5 meters.

A steel switch positioned on the head allows for powering the flashlight on or off, as well as toggling between different modes and brightness levels:

Advanced electronic control optimizes current supplied to the LED, guaranteeing steady light output in the chosen mode until the battery is fully depleted. An intelligent system safeguards the diode from overheating at maximum mode—after 2 minutes, it automatically reduces the current and maintains illumination at 350 lumens. The automatic power-off feature shuts down the device after either 3 or 9 minutes (based on settings), providing significant energy savings.

Equipped with the included Li-Ion 16340 battery featuring a capacity of 650 mAh, the flashlight can deliver up to 10 days of runtime. Recharging the cell is accomplished using the supplied Olight MCC 1A USB magnetic charger. To install the battery, simply unscrew the rear cap of the device.

A LED indicator at the top provides real-time feedback on the battery’s charge status through color signals, ensuring efficient control over the flashlight’s usage time:

Integrated onto the body, a spring clip enables secure attachment of the flashlight to a belt, the edge of a pocket, a backpack, or other gear components. The tail cap features a strong magnet for mounting the device onto any steel surface. At the end of the body, a hole provides the option to attach a cord or lanyard, offering additional protection against loss.

Featuring an adjustable headband crafted from robust 3D mesh, this model ensures optimal air circulation and can be utilized as a headlamp. Outfitted with a steel holder, the flashlight can be rotated within a 140-degree range for precise positioning. A built-in moisture-wicking strap maintains dryness and comfort, even during demanding activities. The headband is 25% lighter than the one included with the Perun 2 Mini, and includes reflective elements to improve visibility and enhance safety in low-light environments.

    An extremely well-thought-out design. I was convinced to choose this flashlight thanks to its build quality and versatility, because it can be used in many ways: as a headlamp, attached to a backpack strap it shines forward while keeping your hands free for other tasks, it can be used as a regular handheld flashlight, and it can also be mounted on a bicycle using an Olight holder. Four in one! Because of this, I also convinced my brother to buy one. Since it is a little beast, you can take it anywhere and always keep it close at hand, because you never know when it might come in useful.

In addition, it has two continuous red light modes - one just right for moving around at night, the other, for example, for reading. There's also a convenient clip, magnet, and headband—in general, I get the impression that this is a very well thought-out design.

It works great as a headlamp, but thanks to the clip and magnet you can also conveniently attach it to a backpack or clothing.     I have the previous version of this flashlight and this one has something that I really missed from the second version right from the start: red light adjustment. That's mainly why I ordered it. The button is also different; it gives a more pleasant and conscious feeling of clicking when operating the flashlight. It’s also very easy to feel even with gloves on. The Perun minis are great. I'm curious to see what they'll come up with in the next version.

    I have very mixed feelings after the purchase. I have owned the flashlight for 2 weeks. I deliberated for a long time about buying and which version of the Olight Perun flashlight to choose. The design is great. Lighting options, white and red light, brightness is excellent. Comfortable to wear on the headband. Convenient to carry on the clip strap. But that's where the positives end and doubts begin for a product at this price. Right after buying, I charged the battery according to the instructions. After just over a week of occasional use, when the indicator was already red, it was time to recharge. When I connected the flashlight with the cable included in the purchase, it did not charge. After connecting it to a USB power strip, the charger's indicator lights up green, meaning it's ready, but when I plug in the flashlight, the light goes out and it doesn't charge. Tried connecting the cable not to the strip but to the charger - same thing, indicator green, but when connected to the flashlight, it doesn't charge, the indicator doesn't light up. Tried another charger, same result. Strangely, connecting the cable without a charger to a different USB charging strip worked. Then the flashlight started charging. But something is wrong, unfortunately. I don't know if I have a defective flashlight. If the situation persists, I will have to file a complaint. The battery life is very disappointing. I think the time specified in the specifications may be exaggerated, unless after longer use the battery somehow calibrates itself and its lifespan improves.

    The flashlight is lightweight but feels solid, not cheap. I am very happy with the purchase – its brightness is impressive! As someone who grew up in the 60s and 70s, it was hard for me to believe all these positive reviews, but you really can see very far with it. It's so compact you have to be careful when holding it in your mouth (like we used to do). It was hard for me to spend this much on such a small flashlight, but now I’m considering buying more – for my wife and for the car. Thanks to its versatility and size, it’s my favorite, and the many modes, including strong red light, are extremely practical – especially for my older eyes.

    Great flashlight, you can use it as a headlamp or clip it onto your gear or clothing. Small, lightweight, shines as it should. I really like the moonlight mode – it gently lights up a room, but it also works well outdoors while walking – you can see the path in front of your feet without blinding yourself or creating unnecessary contrasts. Note 1: the headband has reflective elements, which can be a plus, but not necessarily. I would prefer if they weren't there; I tried to cover them with a permanent marker with partial success. Note 2: The flashlight doesn't fit a standard 16340 battery because the negative connection is right next to the positive in the flashlight. For the same reason, it won't work with a CR123 battery, which is a pity because it would be nice to have a spare battery in the field. As it is, you have to carry the dedicated charging cable with you, which doesn't fit anything else. But still, top-class equipment.
