Folding knife featuring a rounded blade tip, developed specifically for younger users. The Clip-Point profile blade is crafted from INOX, known for its excellent corrosion resistance. The flat grind on the blade, combined with its slim profile, provides superior cutting performance.

A notch on the blade allows for easy opening, while user safety is ensured by the Virobloc lock. This steel ring located on the handle at the pivot point must be rotated a few degrees to block the blade slot, preventing movement of the blade. Additionally, the lock safeguards the knife from accidental opening.

The ergonomically designed handle is constructed from robust plastic and rubber, delivering a secure hold and enhanced safety during operation. Integrated into the handle are a lanyard hole and a 110 dB whistle, functional in any weather condition and audible from up to 300 meters.

Opinel is a French knife brand whose history dates back to 1890 in Savoy. The founder, Joseph Opinel, created the first folding knife, No. 08, which quickly became a symbol of everyday use thanks to its simplicity and functionality. In 1955, the Virobloc locking system was introduced, later modernized, which is still the hallmark of the brand today. In 1985, Opinel was recognized by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best-designed objects in the world, and the brand's knives also found their way into the MoMA collection in New York. Production takes place in Chambery, with an emphasis on quality and ecology - the wood comes from French forests and the waste is used to heat the factory. Among the famous users was Pablo Picasso, who used Opinel for carving, and the knives themselves have become a symbol of simplicity, durability, and the French lifestyle.

Review for model:

I bought it for my daughter, age 5. Sharp, lightweight, colorful. Nice rounded tip, easy for little hands to use. My daughter has already peeled several onions and only had trouble when washing the knife. The whistle is just right and loud. The handle is lightweight, plastic - good grip. I appreciate the loop for attaching a string if needed.
