I bought several of these devices for outdoor use and for my B.O.B. bags, because I wanted to replace an older model that didn't have full IP protection. Although there are lots of models on the market, often advertised as the "best" from various countries, I value the reliability of a known brand. The product perfectly meets my expectations, the RGB feature works great, and the ability to replace batteries is a big advantage. That's why I decided to buy more.
Petzl Aria 1 RGB New Headlamp Camo - 350 lumens
Headlamp delivering 350 lumens of power and a maximum reach of 70 meters. Outfitted with 3 white light settings, alongside red, green, and blue lighting options. The installed diode produces a diffused beam of light. A single button facilitates mode changes, allowing quick adaptation of the beam type to specific requirements. A Lock function is integrated to avoid unintended activation during transport. Featuring Hybrid Concept technology, the headlamp operates on either three AAA batteries or a Petzl CORE rechargeable battery, boosting the maximum output to 475 lumens.

Constructed from synthetic materials, the casing is lightweight and highly durable. Compliance with the IK07 rating ensures robust protection against impacts and drops from heights up to 2 meters. Engineered to be both dustproof and waterproof according to the IP67 standard, the headlamp can be submerged in water to a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
White, red, green, and blue light
Featuring advanced LED diodes, the model delivers white illumination as well as red, green, and blue (RGB) lighting. White light proves ideal for both tactical operations and daily use, whereas RGB colors are designed for discreet nighttime maneuvers, signaling, and observation tasks, ensuring minimal interference with night-adapted vision.

Very cool idea with additional batteries, compact and lightweight. The flashlight shines very brightly and you can easily see what's happening at 60 meters. At maximum power, the battery drains very quickly, it is not the 2 hours stated by the manufacturer. The only drawback is the lack of the option to switch directly from red light to white light.

I like this headlamp because it is uncomplicated and practical, with no unnecessary marketing gimmicks. 350 lumens is more than enough for camping, repairs, moving around in the dark, or searching for things in your backpack. It fits well to the head, doesn't pinch, the strap is solid, and your hands are free – that's already a big advantage. The RGB is not just decoration – the red light works great in the evening: you don't dazzle yourself or others, your eyes don't get tired, and you can work comfortably in a tent. The other colors can be useful in different situations. I've noticed that in maximum power mode the battery drains faster, so I usually use the medium level – then the light is just right and lasts longer. If you're looking for a headlamp that's easy to use, has strong light, and a good red mode, this one is a great choice.

This is a very good headlamp if you are looking for simple, solid, and unobtrusive equipment for everyday work. 350 lumens is more than enough for camping, repairs, night walks, or browsing your backpack. The light beam is even, the brightness is adequate, and the strap fits well on the head and does not press, provided you adjust it properly. The RGB mode is a practical solution, not just a gadget – the red light really works when you don’t want to dazzle yourself or others, or when you have to do something discreetly at night. The green and blue lights are helpful in specific situations, although they are used less often. The only downside is the faster battery drain at maximum power, so in practice, you use the medium mode more often, which significantly extends the device’s operation. Remember that this is not a headlamp for illuminating spaces at very long distances. If you often use the maximum mode, the battery drains faster than you would like. However, as a work headlamp with normal white and red light, it works great.
