Faithful reproduction of a percussion-cap revolver, initially manufactured by the iconic American company Remington. The 1858 New Texas model is a 6-shot black powder percussion revolver, featuring a closed frame and muzzle-loading system. The Remington 1858 stands out as the first revolver with a closed framework, delivering unparalleled structural durability when compared to rival Colt models.
Fitted with a .36 caliber barrel measuring 6.5 inches in length, the revolver features a closed frame and trigger guard crafted from polished brass, while both the steel barrel and cylinder are finished with black oxide. The grip consists of walnut wood.
The weapon utilizes mechanical sights, consisting of a fixed front sight and rear sight. Operating in Single Action mode, the trigger system requires the hammer to be cocked prior to each shot. The hammer mechanism provides two settings: half-cock position for fitting percussion caps onto nipples and full-cock position for firing.
