Faithful reproduction of a percussion-cap revolver originally manufactured by the iconic American firm Remington. The 1858 New Texas Sheriff model stands as a 6-shot muzzle-loaded, black powder percussion revolver.
First revolver produced with a closed frame design, delivering exceptional structural strength unmatched by rival Colt models.
Fitted with a .44 caliber barrel measuring 5.5 inches in length, the revolver features a closed frame and trigger guard crafted from polished brass, with a steel barrel and cylinder finished in black oxide. The grip is fashioned from walnut wood.
Equipped with mechanical sighting systems, namely a fixed front and rear sight. The trigger works in Single Action mode, requiring the hammer to be cocked manually before each fire. The hammer features two cocking positions: half-cock for loading percussion caps and full-cock for firing.
A loading lever (plunger) is pivotally mounted beneath the barrel, designed for seating lead balls into the cylinder chambers.

I bought it, shot it, and it's decent. The gap between the cylinder and the barrel is minimal - that's good. However, it's hard to take out and put in the cylinder, because the frame slightly sticks out towards the cylinder beyond the barrel - that's worse. A file fixed the issue and now it's OK.

I love this equipment. It needs a little fine-tuning, but remember the price is ultra-low. The barrel and cylinder are perfectly made. I recommend immediately gluing the cylinder pusher spring with glue, as its falling out is a common problem. I deduct one star for the lack of dovetail mount for the ramrod latch. I recommend it!
