Thermal imaging sight engineered for precision targeting during both daytime and nighttime operations. The Thermion 2 XG50 features a fixed optical magnification of 3x. Enhanced accuracy is possible through digital zoom ranging from 3-24x, enabling detection of targets at distances up to 2300 meters. Integrated into the system is a laser rangefinder with a range of up to 800 m, allowing for swift distance measurement to targets with a precision of +/- 1 m.
Outfitted with a detector offering a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a pixel pitch of 12 µm. The sensor’s high sensitivity permits detection of temperature differences below 40 mK. The high-contrast display ensures improved color accuracy, energy efficiency, rapid responsiveness, and smooth imagery even in low temperatures. Operation of the thermal imager is managed through built-in controls and function buttons on the body tube.
Eight distinct display modes enhance target recognition and identification capabilities:
- White Hot – optimized for object detection,
- Black Hot – optimized for object detection,
- Red Hot – optimized for object detection,
- RedMonochrome – designed for extended nighttime observation,
- Rainbow – designed for recognition and identification,
- Ultramarine – designed for recognition and identification,
- Violet – suited for prolonged nocturnal viewing,
- Sepia – suited for prolonged nocturnal viewing.
The scope incorporates ten different reticle patterns (D50i, C50i, X54i, H50i, X50i, T54i, M58i, X51Fi-300, M56Fi (Mil-Dot), M57Fi (Mil-Dot)), each available in four color variants, all rendered electronically on the same focal plane as the target. The broad array of reticle choices allows users to select the optimal pattern for any environment. The device is equipped with five ballistic profiles, each supporting memory for ten distances. The onboard picture-in-picture function magnifies the center of the image in a dedicated window, occupying 10% of the overall display area and aiding in precision target identification.
Users can store images or videos directly on the internal 16 GB memory. Files may also be wirelessly transferred to a phone or tablet (via Wi-Fi) using the StreamVision 2 application. The embedded Wi-Fi module enables such functions as using a smartphone as an external monitor or for remote device operation via StreamVision 2. Enhanced user comfort is provided with diopter adjustment.
The scope's chassis is constructed from aluminum alloy, ensuring suitability for firearms with recoil up to 6000 J (e.g., .375 H&H, 9.3 x 64). The streamlined housing and applied sealing confer a waterproof rating of IPX7, delivering protection against water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The operational temperature span extends from -25 to +50 degrees Celsius.
Power is supplied by two batteries: an integrated 4900 mAh battery and a swappable APS2 unit with 2000 mAh capacity. Dual power sources provide up to 10 hours of use. APS3 batteries (not supplied) may be used with the provided APS3 adapter. The included USB-C port supports operation with a connected powerbank for extended run time, and the energy-saving Display OFF mode allows the display to be disabled without shutting down the device.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Pulsar.
Pulsar, part of the European Yukon Group, is a brand of thermal imaging and day/night digital optics based in Lithuania. It was founded in 1991 by a group of enthusiasts who assembled their first devices in a basement, and today employs over 1200 people and operates in more than 70 countries. All Pulsar products are manufactured in Europe, and the brand has become famous for innovations such as digital sights with a one-shot zero function for quick zeroing, and Dual-Purpose solutions that combine the functions of a monocular and a sight. Its modernity is also emphasized by the Stream Vision 2 app, which allows devices to be connected to smartphones via Wi-Fi for remote control, image transfer, and software updates. In 2005, Yukon Group was the first company to introduce digital night vision sights to the civilian market, initiating a new era of accessible optoelectronics. In 2012, the first mass-produced thermal imaging monocular for civilians, the Quantum, was released, followed in 2019 by the compact Axion XM30, capable of detecting a human silhouette from a distance of 1350 meters in complete darkness.
