The radio is indeed programmed for the PMR band, strong, but only for communication between other Baofeng units. When communicating with other PMR radios, transmission works correctly, but reception is poor – it only lights up the LED without sound. The radio likely has too high a squelch level set from the factory (it only receives well with the squelch turned off via the button). A big downside is the need for the user to change the configuration settings using software that isn’t included in the set. If not for this, it would be perfect. However, many people buy it without knowledge of programming radios, especially on such a popular store as Militaria.pl.

Since I have them I know they are useful in many ways, e.g. for communication with my crew of friends, for example with my friend or uncle when he is at work and I help him and his crew, for example if something needs to be brought and I’m not nearby. Used in my family for farming during harvest. Clear sound, long range, and the ability to charge with a power bank, with a minimalist design. Highly recommended.

Tested while kayaking, clear reception for several hundred meters, sometimes audible on one device but not the other. In the city, a real range of 500 meters. Three floors height difference between the apartment and garage, connection without any problem. A cool gadget, we're still testing it.
