After thinking for a while between 15L and 25L, I ultimately decided on the 25L capacity and I don't regret the choice. Immediately after unpacking, you can see that this is a well-made backpack. Manufactured in the EU, made from very solid materials, at first glance it seems like it will easily last for many years; the seams are even, strong, and carefully finished, with no shortcomings. Besides, you just need to read the reviews on English-language forums. So, the biggest dilemma was deciding between the 15L and 25L versions. The backpack was supposed to be used both daily for the office or shopping, as well as during weekend trips, so initially, I considered the smaller capacity. Ultimately, I chose the 25L and I think it was a good decision, because it's always easier to compress a larger backpack (especially since such an option exists) than to fit extra things into a smaller one (if needed). The only downside I can point out is the lack of a Savotta branded patch in the set. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about.
Savotta Kahakka Backpack 25 l - M05 Finnish Woodland Camo

PALS webbing, compression straps and Velcro
Multiple PALS webbing points enable the backpack to be outfitted with extra pouches or pockets. Compression straps provide the option to modify the backpack’s size or secure additional equipment. A Velcro panel on the flap is available for attaching any emblem or patch.

M05 Camouflage
The M05 camouflage (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) represents a series of pixelated camouflage patterns introduced to the Finnish Defence Forces in 2005, replacing the earlier M91 pattern. Engineers developed these patterns through digital analysis of seasonal photographs of Finnish woodland, with data sourced from the Finnish Forest Research Institute. Within the M05 series, multiple versions exist, including variants for woodland, snow, and cold weather environments.
The primary woodland variant of M05 features distinct patches in light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite, effectively mirroring the natural composition of Finnish forests. Thanks to comparable terrain and vegetation, the M05 Woodland pattern also delivers optimal concealment in Central and Eastern European woodlands, enhancing effectiveness in natural environments.

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

A backpack that stands out primarily for its build quality. The materials are clearly durable, and the whole thing gives the impression of equipment built for years of intensive use. The backpack is relatively simple, which makes it very functional – the lack of unnecessary extras translates into reliability. It fits well to the back and remains stable during movement.

Savotta Kahakka 25 L in M05 Woodland camo is a backpack that really impresses from the very first contact. You can immediately see and feel the quality—the material is thick and strong, and nothing looks like it was done 'halfway.' The whole construction gives the impression of gear that will survive years of use in the field, and I think that's exactly what Savotta products are about.
