The zipper is shielded, providing enhanced protection against moisture, dirt, and abrasion. A vertically oriented strap on the front secures the backpack’s compression straps, ensuring they stabilize and maintain their functionality when compressing the contents.

A moisture-draining grommet is integrated into the bottom of the pouch.

25 mm tape loop, D-Ring

Positioned at the top of the rear interior panel, a 25 mm tape loop and D-ring provide secure attachment for small or valuable gear. The rear compartment features a flat design to aid in organizing compact equipment.

The rear section incorporates a PALS attachment system with integrated tabs.

PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

    This side pocket is really large. I personally attached it to the front of my Savotta Jaakari M backpack. I was looking for something to fit my GHK PDW V3 and some gear during airsoft trips – the pocket turned out to be great for this. The workmanship is excellent, and despite the considerable size, the whole thing remains relatively light.
