M05 camouflage
The M05 camouflage (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) represents a collection of pixel-based camouflage patterns that were introduced to the Finnish Defence Forces in 2005, replacing the M91 pattern. Developed through digital analysis of seasonal photographs of Finnish woodlands collected by the Finnish Forest Research Institute, the M05 series comprises multiple variants, including woodland, snow, and cold weather designs.
The primary woodland variant of M05 features light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite patches, closely imitating the appearance of Finnish forest environments. With vegetation and terrain characteristics similar to those in Central and Eastern Europe, the M05 Woodland camouflage proves highly effective for concealment within these natural landscapes.
