The MAK 90 Telescope utilizes the Maksutov optical system, renowned for delivering outstanding sharpness and eliminating chromatic aberration. Its design incorporates a corrector lens – meniscus, a primary mirror, and a secondary mirror positioned within the meniscus itself. Such a configuration guarantees high performance even in city environments, where observing faint nebulae is challenging due to light pollution.
Capable of collecting approximately 180 times more light than the naked human eye during nighttime conditions, the instrument enables observation of celestial objects reaching up to nearly 11.4 magnitude. The sizeable mirror also contributes to excellent optical resolution, allowing users to distinguish stars separated by more than 1.6".
A mount is not included with the telescope; however, mounting the optical tube on a photographic tripod is possible via a specially integrated connector.
