Snugpak Special Forces 2 Standard Sleeping Bag - Black
Light sleeping bag in black color, with a mummy design, providing comfortable body positioning and unrestricted movement during sleep. Made from Snugpack's proprietary materials such as Paratex Steelplate, Paratex Light, and Softie Premier. Standard size model, with a length of 220 cm when unfolded. The interior of the sleeping bag contains a Reflectatherm layer that reflects body heat, significantly enhancing thermal comfort.
Temperatures and usage conditions
The Special Forces 2 model has been designed as a three-season sleeping bag, intended for use in sub-zero temperatures and colder months. The usage temperatures specified by the manufacturer range from -12 to -7 deg. C.
Paratex Steelplate and Paratex Light materials, DWR coating
The external layer of the sleeping bag is made from Paratex Steelplate material, which ensures high breathability, good wind protection, and high moisture resistance thanks to DWR impregnation (Durable Water Repellency). This ensures that even during humid mornings in the field, dew drops will form on the sleeping bag's surface, not causing it to soak. The sleeping bag's inner layer is made from Paratex Light material, characterized by a soft structure, high wind resistance, and breathability of 12l/m2/24h. High breathability prevents the accumulation of moisture inside the sleeping bag, arising from the condensation of heat generated by the body and low ambient temperature.
Under the inner layer, a metalized Reflectatherm fabric is placed, reflecting the heat generated by the body, which increases the sleeping bag's thermal efficiency by approx. 15%. Inside the sleeping bag, in the foot area, there is a reinforced section of material, which, besides improving insulation properties, allows for sleeping in footwear without fear of damaging the sleeping bag. There are also two small loops that enable easy hanging of the sleeping bag for airing.
Softie Premier filling
The sleeping bag filling is Softie Premier, ensuring good heat retention even in humid environments, and its soft structure makes the sleeping bag pleasant to the touch. The specially designed fiber structure of the filling allows for hand and machine washing of the sleeping bag if needed.
The mummy design has been optimized to minimize heat loss. Lack of classic through stitches eliminates the formation of so-called thermal bridges, ensuring even insulation across the entire surface of the sleeping bag.
Two-way YKK zipper, adjustable hood
The sleeping bag is equipped with a two-way zipper, from the renowned company YKK, centrally positioned. From the inside, there is a protective strip that prevents the material from snagging in the zipper and limits heat loss. The anatomically shaped hood provides additional head protection from the cold.
Convenient transport and storage, Special Forces system
The model is convenient for transport and storage. When packed, the sleeping bag measures 23 x 23 cm and weighs 1800 g. A practical compression sack is included, which protects it during transport and prevents dirt and damage.
The sleeping bag is part of the Special Forces system, where it can be combined with the Special Forces 1 model using an additional Zip Baffle strip, creating a set adapted to temperatures around -20 deg. C.
