Snugpak The Sleeping Bag Sleeping Bag - Ruby Red Left

Durable sleeping bag in Ruby Red, with a mummy-type construction, ensuring comfortable body positioning and unrestricted movement during sleep. It is made from Snugpack proprietary materials such as Aqualight, Supersoft and Isofibre.

Temperatures and conditions of use

The operating temperatures of the The Sleeping Bag sleeping bag are specified in accordance with EN 13537:

  • T-comfort: -2 degrees Celsius - the lowest temperature at which a woman can sleep comfortably through the night,
  • T-limit: -7 degrees Celsius - the minimum temperature at which a man can sleep through the night without discomfort,
  • T-extreme: -21 degrees Celsius - the lowest temperature at which it is possible to survive in the sleeping bag. This is not a value recommended for standard use.

Aqualight construction, Supersoft lining

The outer layer with hydrophobic properties is made of Aqualight material. The inner layer is Supersoft material, which features a durable weave, a soft texture and high breathability, ensuring comfort of use.

Isofibre filling

The sleeping bag is filled with lightweight synthetic Isofibre insulation that provides optimal heat retention. The special fibre construction of the filling allows the sleeping bag to be washed by hand and in a washing machine. Inside, in the foot area, there are two small loops that allow the sleeping bag to be easily hung up and aired.

Left-side zipper, thermal baffle

The sleeping bag is equipped with a two-way zipper located on the left side. On the inside there is a protective strip that prevents the material from getting caught in the zipper and reduces heat loss.

Hood protecting against the cold

Anatomically shaped hood increases thermal protection by wrapping around the head and preventing heat loss in low temperatures. Its shape also provides additional protection against wind and moisture.

Convenient transport and storage

The model is convenient for transport and storage. When packed, the sleeping bag measures 28 x 24 cm, and it weighs 1650 g, which makes it easy to carry without excessively burdening your luggage.

Set elements

The sleeping bag comes with a practical compression cover with a side-release buckle, which secures it during transport and protects it against dirt and damage.

This is a comfortable and warm sleeping bag that is really great to sleep in. If needed, it is worth buying an air mattress or a similar solution to increase comfort of use.

The sleeping bag is solidly made and really warm, finally designed for sub-zero temperatures - in my opinion, it is suitable for our autumn and winter conditions. Comfortable, it easily fits a man who is 184 cm tall. I can recommend it in this price range.

The Snugpak The Sleepingbag Olive sleeping bag is a solid and well-designed model for outdoor conditions. It retains heat well and performs in lower temperatures, while remaining relatively lightweight and easy to pack. The materials are durable and its construction provides comfort when sleeping in the field. It works well for camping and longer trips outdoors. Due to my work, I use it every day and for me it's fantastic — at -5 degrees I just need a thermal shirt and underwear.

Warm and stuffy. Zero breathability, so it's better not to sleep in just your underwear, otherwise you will wake up soaking wet with sweat. The insulation, however, is first class. At this price, it’s hard to find anything better for autumn/early spring. For summer, I wouldn't take it because it's too hot. As for the drawbacks, apart from breathability (or rather lack of it), there's the sizing. I'm quite tall (182cm) and I still have easily a dozen, if not 20-30 cm, of spare room at my feet. In mummy-shaped bags, there should be as little excess room as possible to heat up faster (in my case, it takes about 30 minutes before it gets actually pleasant inside). If that's a problem for someone, I would look for smaller sleeping bags.

I'm after 10 days in Iceland - sleeping in a tent. The sleeping bag is really great. Warm and comfortable. At a night temperature of 10°C I slept in a short sleeve shirt and the comfort was excellent. At around 4°C I was comfortable with thermal underwear and thin socks. I'm not usually sensitive to cold. At first, I thought the size would be too big, but at my height of 182 cm, I could wrap myself well in it on colder nights. I recommend it.

This is already my second sleeping bag, the first one bought last year, worked well on camping trips even on cold nights. I bought the second one for other family members. Warm, well made, relatively light for this temperature range compared to the competition, and at an affordable price. I recommend it.

The sleeping bag is very well made. Easy to pack into the original compression sack. Size and weight are normal. So far, I haven't tested it on a typical camping trip, but in the car, you can sleep in it even at subzero temperatures and it's warm. Overall I recommend it - at this price you probably won't buy anything better.

The sleeping bag is warm, light, and well-made. This is already my second sleeping bag from Snugpak, and they really know how to make sure you get a good night's sleep outdoors in the right conditions. The downside may be that after compression it takes up some space, but it's a trade-off: either warmth from the sleeping bag, or carrying extra clothes for the night. I recommend it.

Very good sleeping bag. We have two, and they're just right for transitional temperatures, even without a tent. But in winter, you need something else - a tent or similar. Partially waterproof, and if it does get wet, it dries fairly quickly.

A good universal sleeping bag, I've slept in it in every season and I must say it has worked for me every time. You can pack it into quite a small bundle which makes it easy to carry.
